Footballer Suspended/Fined For Homophobic Slur + More News

Them: The English Football Association (FA) has fined and suspended Jack Fletcher, a Manchester United player, for calling an opposing player a homophobic slur during a game last year.

Variety: Barbra Streisand is reportedly in talks to perform at the 2026 Academy Awards in tribute to Robert Redford, her co-star in The Way We Were. Word is she may sing during the In Memoriam segment of the ceremony.

KOIN: Daniel McGee, 26, was sentenced to 12 years in prison, along with five years of supervised release, after he assaulted a man in 2021 due to his sexual orientation. McGee admitted he set up the ambush with a false account on Grindr. He pleaded guilty to a federal hate crime in Nov. 2025.

Queerty: The Canadian cottage featured in the season finale of Heated Rivalry is now booked up solid through January 2028.

LGBTQ Nation: Evangelical MAGA pastor Tony Suarez recently claimed that there are “kitty litter boxes in the public schools for the girls that identify as furries.” It’s a regularly debunked right-wing lie that conservatives use as a way to build public opposition to trans students and “woke” school policies.

JoeMyGod: Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem was asked point blank if she was having sexual relations with her “special government employee” Corey Lewandowski while testifying before the House Judiciary Committee. Noem skirted the question more than once even though her husband was sitting right behind her.
