• CNN: Uvalde school district police chief Pedro “Pete” Arredondo has resigned his separate position on the Uvalde city council in the wake of the massacre at Robb Elementary School in May. #good
• Washington Post: Texas has had a 1925 abortion ban on the books for the past 50 years while Roe v. Wade was in place. After the Supreme Court overturned Roe on June 24, Attorney General Ken Paxton advised prosecutors the 1925 law was now in force. And the state Supreme Court agreed with him.
