The anti-Pride/anti-Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence/anti-“whatever else they could protest” haters found themselves with an epic fail as their “boycott” of the Los Angeles Dodgers Pride Night resulted in a full stadium.

In case you missed it – the Dodgers announced last month that the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, a group of people who dress in drag as nuns who were among the first people to offer support to AIDS patients at a time when such help was severely lacking, would be honored with a Community Hero Award at this year’s Pride Night.
Catholic and conservative activists whined and brayed in outrage about the community honor until the Dodgers organization uninvited the Sisters.
Then, folks clapped back at the Dodgers for standing down in its support of the LGBTQ community, and the Dodgers re-invited the Sisters.

The haters, in their foam at the mouth outrage, called for a boycott of the Pride Night game. But even though hundreds came out to protest the event, the attendance was not what you’d call the result of a boycott.
At the end of the day, the attendance last night was higher than average:
• Dodgers Pride Night Attendance 49,074
• Dodgers Average Attendance 47,761
More from ABC7 in LA:
Fans were still able to make their way into the stadium and the Sisters were given their Community Hero award from the Dodgers in a small ceremony before the game. Eventually, the stands filled up with people ready to celebrate Pride and watch a baseball game.
Dodgers Manager Dave Roberts made it clear all were welcome at the ballpark ahead of the game as well.
“I love everyone… Anyone who wants to come in and support the Dodgers, I’m all in, we’re all in,” said Roberts.
Since the Sisters received their honor in a small ceremony before the game, haters tried to play off the empty stadium (empty because it was an hour before the game) as a “victory” of some sort.
This video was posted at 6:18 before a 7:10 start with the front gate closed by a bunch of idiot bigots. The Dodgers are the number one team in attendance every year and there are close to 50k people at the game tonight. Keep telling yourselves that your hatred is winning though. https://t.co/nUCwi0qD1D

Typical LA. @Dodgers Gay pride night is packed! This city is a radical hell hole. The pics of stadium empty were taken an hour before the game started. pic.twitter.com/hOoSLYdCdw
