Some news items for you as we head into the new week:
• X: Sad to report adult film actor Dale Savage (above) died of a stroke on June 19. I met Dale a couple of times over the years and he was always friendly to me. Rest well, Dale.
• CNN: ICYMI, a clip from my interview with CNN anchor Ben Hunte yesterday about the Atlantis cruise (which I’m currently traveling on) being banned from docking in Turkey.
• JoeMyGod: House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) says Republicans are “looking at all angles” to legislatively address birthright citizenship, after the Supreme Court ruled against Donald Trump’s executive order restricting it.
According to the nonpartisan Migration Policy Institute, less than one percent of the 3.5 million babies born in the U.S. annually are the result of so-called birth tourism.

• New York Times: This is not good. Hours after a U.S. men’s soccer team player, Folarin Balogun, was suspended for a game, Donald Trump personally called the president of FIFA and asked him to reverse the suspension. FIFA reversed the suspension on Sunday announcing Balogun would be eligible to play Monday against Belgium. You don’t use political influence to win a sporting event.
