I couldn’t agree more. • OUT: Cynthia Erivo, who stars as “Elphaba” in the upcoming film adaptation of WICKED and is OUT Magazine’s Icon of the Year, became emotional upon learning queer people were finding solace in the lyrics of her show-stopping number, “Defying Gravity.” • KNWA: Ongoing lawsuits over removing LGBTQ-themed books from the children’s section of a public library in Crawford County, Arkansas, is costing taxpayers nearly $500K in legal fees. • ABC News: Samuel Woodward, convicted of first-degree murder in July for the 2018 murder of 19-year-old Blaze Bernstein, has been sentenced to life in prison. Woodward stabbed Bernstein more than 28 times in the face and neck.

• LGBTQ Nation: A Texas city infamous for placing a $10,000 bounty on trans people who use bathrooms and locker rooms that do not align with their sex assigned at birth has voted to make its policy even more strict. • GLAAD: The documentary short film “Is Gay Marriage Next?” juxtaposes the hopefulness of the early 2000s with the stark realities of today as LGBTQ people worry about our marriage rights after the reversal of Roe v. Wade.
