Jim Pillen’s administration has decided his state won’t participate in a new national child nutrition program that could have delivered an estimated $18 million in grocery-buying benefits next summer to lower-income kids and their families. • The Advocate: The National Hockey League banned players from wearing themed jerseys (above) during warm-ups, but they didn’t say anything about wearing them “during player arrivals.” That’s the loophole that the New Jersey Devils are using as the organization marks its LGBTQ+ Pride night on Thursday.
