Chelsie Kryst, EXTRA Correspondent & Former Miss USA, Dies At 30

Cheslie Kryst – Miss USA in 2019 – has died after a fall from her high-rise apartment building in New York City. She was 30.

“Her great light was one that inspired others around the world with her beauty and strength,” read a statement from her family. “She cared, she loved, she laughed and she shined.” In addition to being a licensed attorney, Kryst was also a correspondent for celebrity/entertainment program EXTRA. “Our hearts are broken,” read a statement from EXTRA. “Cheslie was not just a vital part of our show, she was a beloved part of our EXTRA family and touched the entire staff. Our deepest condolences to all her family and friends.” Sources in the New York Police Department have confirmed that Kryst died by suicide, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
