Anti-LGBT Flip Benham Holds A Rally Of One Ranting About Penises At Charlotte Pride

Flip Benham flips out

Anti-LGBT loon Flip Benham spent a good part of his weekend sitting in a parking lot near one of the stages at Charlotte Pride attempting to ruin the event for thousands and thousands of attendees.

The good news is: he failed.

Armed with a loudspeaker, Benham ranted and raved about penises and rectums drawing a few folks who came to stare at the ridiculous spectacle.

I do wonder why it’s always penises and rectums? The hateful anti-Pride folks seem to have no problem with lesbian’s vaginas, only the gays penises. Hmm…

In any case, the weekend was a huge success for Charlotte. As a matter of fact, it was a record crowd thanks in part to the state’s hateful HB2 law.

From Charlotte’s CBS affiliate:

Last year, 120,000 people made it to Uptown for the Pride celebration. This year, organizers estimated closer to 200,000 people went to the Festival and Parade, including more than 3,500 marchers in the Parade. “This is amazing energy. This just brings you up so much,” said David Pable, one of the marchers.

The Charlotte Pride Festival and Parade aren’t just about the attendance records for the LGBT community. Instead, it has become a safe haven for free expression.

“You see all the people out here enjoying Pride and celebrating who they are, and have a chance to truly be who they are,” said Michelle Money, who went to both the Parade and Festival.

Because of the growth of both events, they were declared extraordinary events for the first time ever, meaning a larger police presence was required. There was pushback by Charlotte Pride, but worries were eased after discussions with CMPD.

Campaign Ad: “Just One”

New spot from the Hillary Clinton campaign going up in battleground states Florida, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, Iowa, Nevada, Ohio, North Carolina, and the Omaha area of Nebraska, as part of an $80 million ad buy meant to run from now to the end of October.

We all knew Trump’s own words would come back to haunt him. These are exactly the kinds of campaign ads I expected Hillary to run, and they’re the ad I would run if I were in her place.

It’s difficult to throw shade back at Hill when she’s using him own campaign lines against him.

The spot, titled “Just One,” focuses on the Donald’s reckless termperament which makes obvious his inability to serve as commander-in-chief.

Ryan Lochte Offers Tearful Apology For Rio Incident

In an exclusive interview with Matt Lauer, 12-time Olympic medalist Ryan Lochte offers a tearful apology for what he repeatedly called “over-exaggerating” the details of his previous versions of his late night encounter last Sunday night in Rio at the 2106 Summer Olympics.

He also says many times throughout the interview that he wants to take “full responsibility” for his actions, and he apologizes to the people of Rio and the country of Brazil for insinuating anything negative about the host city, and to his fellow Olympians for distracting from their accomplishments throughout this past week.

From NBC News:

In an interview with TODAY Sunday, Lochte said an armed robber pointed a gun at his forehead and cocked the weapon. In the interview that aired Saturday, Lochte said that was made up.

“That didn’t happen and that’s why — I over-exaggerated that part, ” Lochte said. The gun was drawn and pointed in his direction but was never at his forehead, Lochte said.

Asked why he would make up the dramatic detail, Lochte said: “I don’t know why.” He added it was hours after the incident occurred and he was still intoxicated.

“I’m not making me being intoxicated like an excuse, I’m not doing that at all,” Lochte said. “It was my fault and I shouldn’t have said it.”

Lauer asked Lochte why he had maintained they were “victims” in his statements to police and to the media.

“It’s how you want to make it look like. Whether you call it a robbery, whether you call it extortion, or us paying just for the damages, like, we don’t know,” Lochte responded. “All we know is that there was a gun pointed in our direction, and we were demanded to give money.”

“We just wanted to get out of there,” Lochte said. “We were all frightened. And we wanted to get out of there as quick as possible. And the only way we knew is — this guy saying, ‘You have to give him money.’ So we gave him money, and we got out.”

I think watching the full interview puts some things in perspective.

I can’t defend Lochte, but I will say I think he’s aware that he made an immature mistake. And I also think, without being mean-spirited, that he’s just not the sharpest tool in the shed. I think he had a knee-jerk reaction in the middle of what he feared would be – and did become – an international incident.

Trump Campaign Manager: Donald Trump “Doesn’t Hurl Personal Insults”

Donald Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway, with an absolutely straight face, told George Stephanopoulos on ABC news’ “This Week” that her candidate “doesn’t hurl personal insults.”

I nearly spit out my coffee when I heard her say it.

Umm, do we all remember “Little Marco,” “Lyin Ted,” “Crooked Hillary,” saying Sen. John McCain isn’t a war hero…? I could go on and on.

Here’s the clip. Bless Kellyanne for her acting ability. On my best day in the theater I couldn’t have delivered this line without laughing.

Conway also raised eyebrows in an interview with CNN’s Dana Bash when asked about a meeting Trump had with a Hispanic advisory council yesterday. According to Buzzfeed, Trump spoke about a “humane and efficient” way to cope with undocumented immigrants in the country, which which Buzzfeed interpreted as a way to legalize some of those currently in the U.S. illegally.

When Bash brought up Trump’s often discussed “deportation force” which he has said would send undocumented immigrants back to their country of origin, Conway seemed to soften the Trump position: “To be determined.”

Trump’s immigration position has been a cornerstone of his campaign from day one. It’ll be interesting to see how his ardent supporters accept this “massaging” of his original policy.

Davey Wavey: Things NOT To Ask To Someone In An Open Relationship

Davey Wavey shares his thoughts on the concept of open relationships based on the fact that he, himself, is in one.

Covering a range of questions, the short video is basically a primer in “what not to ask people in an open relationship.”

I personally don’t have a problem with the idea as long as the two adults in the relationship are clear and honest about the parameters and communication stays open.

Video: Donald Trump’s Mental Health

Several of Donald Trump’s campaign surrogates, while making the rounds on political news shows this week, began dropping small but significant “hints” that they believe Democrat Hillary Clinton is facing health issues which, in their eyes, could affect her ability to serve as president.

Just one example: today on “Fox News Sunday,” Trump surrogate Rudy Giuliani claimed that the media has failed “to point out several signs of illness by her. All you’ve got to do is go online.” Pushed for the sources of his information in “diagnosing” some kind of illness, Giuliani quipped, “Go online and put down ‘Hillary Clinton illness,’ take a look at the videos for yourself.”

It’s a sad concoction that seems desperate. Especially when you consider some of the Trumpster’s own odd behavior on the campaign trail.

Take a look at this compilation of some of Donald Trump’s “mental health” moments.

Poll: Hillary Clinton Leads Donald Trump +6 In Ohio

From CBS News:

In Ohio, which is so critical to Donald Trump’s electoral fortunes, it is Hillary Clinton who has extended her lead and is now up six points, 46 percent to 40 percent; she was up four points in July. Clinton has made gains among women, and remains bolstered by a nearly-unified Democratic base. She wins 90 percent of Democrats, while Trump remains hampered by just enough reluctant Republicans: He’s at 79 percent of GOPers.
