Christiane Amanpour: Can’t A Girl Have A Sick Day Or Two?
I’ve been meaning to post something about Hillary Clinton’s recent diagnosis of pneumonia, and the shocking outrage by her detractors about her health and “transparency.”
For the record, here’s the diagnosis from Hillary’s personal physician:
One perspective on Hillary’s momentary light headedness after standing in the heat at the 9/11 memorial service could be that she is simply so presidential that she refused to miss the event. Having served as a U.S. senator from New York, it’s obvious the event holds deep feelings for her.
Or, let’s let Christiane Amanpour have her say. I think this is pretty spot on.

Mike Pence: Donald Trump Has Given “Tens Of Millions” To Charity
Moments ago, Republican Vice Presidential candidate Mike Pence told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer that his running mate Donald Trump has given “tens of millions” of dollars to charities.

Within minutes, Washington Post reporter David Fahrenthold sent an email to the Trump campaign asking for details for those donations.
Fahrenthold has been doing some deep reporting on Donald Trump’s foundation and it’s spending habits. Very interesting read.
Out Series: “Feral” on Dekkoo.com
New series set to air on LGBT streaming site Dekkoo.com – “Feral.”
Via press release:
Like HBO’s “Looking” or “Girls,” but set in Memphis, Tennessee. That’s how creator Morgan Jon Fox characterizes “Feral,” a Dekkoo.com original TV series that debuts October 6 exclusively on the subscription streaming service dedicated to gay men.
In “Feral,” Fox (who also serves as the series writer and director), weaves a tale of survival as a group of 20-somethings learn about love, loss and friendship while living in the vibrant, artistic queer community of Memphis.
The storyline revolves around the lives of Billy and Daniel, two best friends sharing a comfortably broken in bungalow in the diverse neighborhood of Midtown. It begins when the two are forced to kick out their third roommate, after discovering his heroin addiction.

Miss New York On Trump: “He’s A Bright Reminder Of How Our Country Needs To Come Together”
This year, during the question-and-answer segment of the Miss America pageant, contestants were queried on a host of current news topics like terrorism, police brutality, and the presidential election.
Twenty seconds is a difficult time frame to express a succinct, intelligent answer, but Miss New York Camille Sims was the clear winner in this category. Sims was asked to share her feelings on Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.
“I think he’s a bright reminder of how our country needs to come together. If you don’t agree with his message, it’s time to decide where you stand in this debate. As Americans, we need to make sure we come together, represent what it means to be American, which is celebrating all people, from all backgrounds, whether you’re an immigrant or a Native American or an African-American or an Asian-American.”
Kudos to Ms. Sims for handling both the question and the pressure so well.
12 Year-Old Boy Tries To Stop Mexican Hate Parade
Over the weekend, members of Mexico’s “pro-family” hate group Frente Nacional por la Familia took to the streets across the nation to protest the inevitable passage of marriage equality.
While the anti-LGBT demonstrators saw their fair share of opposition, perhaps the most striking moment came at a rally in Celaya, Guanajuato when a 12-year-old boy stepped in front of 11,000 protesters in an attempt to stop their march.
Photo journalist Manuel Rodríguez captured the powerful image.
“At first I thought the child was only playing,” Rodríguez admitted to Regeneracion.
But Rodriguez interviewed the child later, who said, “I have an uncle who is gay and I hate the hatred.”
President Obama’s Approval Rating Hits 58%
Good news for Hillary Clinton as President Obama’s approval rating has just hit his highest marks since July of 2009.
According to the ABC News/Washington Post poll, eight in 10 Obama approvers back her for the presidency.
That same poll shows Clinton currently holds a five point lead over Donald Trump.
Additionally, 58% of respondents believe she will be elected president versus only 29% believe Trump to win in November. That’s a new low for Trump on that metric.
RuPaul Wins Emmy Award For Outstanding Host Of A Reality-Competition Show
From Yahoo News:
Truth be told, the first-time nominee had reason to feel like an Emmy underdog, since he was representing RuPaul’s Drag Race, a fringe show about drag queens on Logo, a niche LGBT cable network.
But Sunday, on night two of the Creative Arts Emmys held at Los Angeles’s Microsoft Theater, RuPaul surprised everyone — including himself — by winning the Emmy, beating out decidedly mainstream reality hosts Tom Bergeron (Dancing With the Stars), Steve Harvey (Little Big Shots), Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn (Project Runway), Jane Lynch (Hollywood Game Night), and even American Idol’s Ryan Seacrest.
Thank you for the love. I dedicate this win to the 100 queens of #DragRace & to outsiders everywhere. #Emmys https://t.co/4AvXDaySYZ— RuPaul (@RuPaul) September 12, 2016
