The latest installment of the “Bad Boy” web series is here with a brand new hunky ‘bad boy.’
This seventh episode finds Artie O’Daly’s “Scott” (who also writes, produces and directs the clip) meeting with his agent “Erin” (Lyndsey Doolen) when an unexpected delivery boy (blond hottie Drew Bradley) comes knocking at the door.
Announcing he has a food delivery for Scott (actually “Daddy Scott”), bad delivery boy “George” barges in to drop off his package.
When Scott tells George he definitely did not order any food, George sizes up the situation: “Oh, I see. Is this one of those deals where you order food so I come in and you drop your pants and try to hook up with me?”
“Cause if it is, that’s cool – but I’ll expect a tip,” he explains.
Makes sense.

Scott asks our bad boy to take the food and leave, but soon it’s clear George is taking more than he arrived with.
Erin invites George to sit and chat. One thing leads to another (doesn’t it always?) and soon George is peeling off his shirt as he go-go dances in silver-spangled booty shorts.
Makes sense. Or not…

Eventually, there’s always a twist in the “Bad Boy” universe, but no spoilers here. As with past episodes, O’Daly’s clever, off-kilter dialogue keeps ‘Daddy Scott’ off balance the entire time.

Infamous ‘Kill the Gays’ pastor Steven Anderson has become the first person to be banned from the country of Ireland.
Anderson, who heads up the Faithful Word Baptist Church in Arizona, is prohibited from entering the country thanks to an exclusion order signed by Charlie Flanagan, the Minister for Justice and Equality.
The order is the first issued under Section 4 of the 1999 Immigration Act.
Anderson was scheduled to preach in Dublin on May 26.

Ireland isn’t the first country to bar the anti-LGBTQ preacher from crossing its borders. Anderson has also been banned from the UK, Jamaica, South Africa and Canada.
In a video posted before the news of his ban, Anderson told viewers he wasn’t going to Ireland to be “talking about homos.”
“I’m not there to talk about all the other sick, perverted, filth that you have going on there in Ireland,” he added.
CNBC is reporting China has announced it will “raise tariffs on $60 billion in U.S. goods in retaliation for the U.S. decision to hike duties on Chinese goods. Beijing will increase the tariffs to 25% from 10% on June 1.”
The news is not a surprise in the aftermath of Donald Trump’s decision to raise taxes on $200 billion in Chinese products to 25% from 10% as the world’s two largest economies struggle to ink a new trade deal.
U.S. stock futures signaled a sharp drop Monday morning amid the escalation.

In related news, Huffpostreports that Trump is seeking an additional $15 billion in U.S. subsidies in an effort to protect farmers from the devastating impact of his trade war with China.
That’s on top of $12 billion already earmarked for the farmers to help them weather the fallout.

Academy Award nominee and Hollywood royalty, Doris Day, has passed away at the age of 97.
According to The Doris Day Animal Foundation, the actress and singer died early Monday at her Carmel Valley, California, home. The foundation said she was surrounded by close friends.
“The vivacious blonde, who also had a successful singing career, teamed with Rock Hudson in “Pillow Talk” and other lighthearted romantic comedies including “Lover Come Back” and “Send Me No Flowers.” Her other significant screen roles included Alfred Hitchcock thriller “The Man Who Knew Too Much” (1956), co-starring James Stewart and featuring Day’s Oscar-winning song “Que Sera Sera (Whatever Will Be, Will Be”); and “The Pajama Game” (1957), based on the Broadway musical.”
After many successful films, she starred on CBS in “The Doris Day Show” for five years starting in 1968, and soon after retired to Carmel, Calif. She released 29 albums, most recently “My Heart,” which consisted of previously unreleased songs, in 2011.
Matt Bomer stars in the upcoming buddy comedy, Papi Chulo.
Bomer plays “Sean,” a gay weatherman who hits a rough patch of depression following a major breakup.
Written and directed by gay Irish filmmaker John Butler (Handsome Devil), Papi Chulo made its world premiere last fall at the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival.
The official synopsis reads:
“After a newly-single TV weatherman is put on leave following an on-air meltdown, he directs his energy into home improvement and hires a middle-aged Latino day laborer named Ernesto (Alejandro Patiño) to help. Despite a language barrier and having nothing in common, the two men develop an unexpected but profound friendship in this darkly comedic reflection on class, ethnicity, and companionship in contemporary Los Angeles.”
“My ex has been gone for six months now and I have to admit I’m not good at being alone,” Sean tells Ernesto in the trailer. “I never have been.”
The film also features Elena Campbell-Martinez (The Big Bang Theory), Wendi McLendon-Covey (The Goldbergs, Bridesmaids), and D’Arcy Carden (The Good Place).

Bomer earned an Emmy nomination and Golden Globe Award for his performance in HBO’s The Normal Heart, and recently appeared on Will & Grace as news anchor McCoy Whitman, Will’s love interest.
The 41-year-old made his Broadway debut last year in the acclaimed revival of the groundbreaking gay drama, The Boys in the Band. Producer Ryan Murphy has announced he will produce a screen version of the production for Netflix.
The Magic Mike actor is currently starring in the DC Universe series Doom Patrol.
A high school in Fort Wayne, Indiana, that planned to deadname a transgender student at his upcoming graduation ceremony has reversed course thanks to an online petition signed by over 14,000 supporters.
Brian Thomas, the student’s father, launched his Change.org petition after learning that the powers that be at Homestead High School in Fort Wayne planned to use the teen’s old name at commencement.
The petition, addressed to principal Park Ginder, asked that the teen’s chosen and preferred name, Wyatt, be read aloud at graduation as opposed to his deadname, which he hasn’t used in years.
“My transgender child is a senior this year and will graduate in early June,” Thomas wrote. “He has been going by his preferred name since the summer between his freshman and sophomore year. Teachers, pastors, managers, family and friends know him as a boy named Wyatt.
“But at graduation, because of an unwritten standard the school administration is unwilling to change, he will be called by his dead name. What is meant to be a celebration will instead be yet another moment of humiliation and embarrassment.”
“As Wyatt’s parents, we ask that our wishes be honored on behalf of our precious child. Call the name he will bear legally once the lengthy process of a name change is complete. Call him what his future university calls him. Call him what we and many others call him every day. Call him Wyatt.”
For many transgender people, undergoing a name change can be a powerful affirmation in transitioning their gender.
Each time it’s spoken, it gives trans folks tangible validation as they move closer to the gender they know themselves to be.
But changing names, whether on a day-by-day basis, on government-issued ID or legal documents can be a glacially-slow process in some areas.
The good news is this past Friday the school informed Thomas that Wyatt’s name will be read at graduation, and there are efforts underway to have his name on his diploma as well.

In an update on Change.org, Thomas wrote, “According to Dr. Ginder, he has been called Wyatt for three years, so why not at graduation?”
“This has been a matter of purposeful discussion and careful consideration on the part of the school, and a procedural decision has been made that benefits Wyatt,” the father added. “We are grateful the school took this request seriously and gave it the attention it deserves.”
“Thank you to all who signed this petition,” Thomas said in conclusion. “The impact of your support, encouraging words and positive vibes has been felt and received with astounded gratitude. On to graduation!”
Mayor Pete Buttigieg addresses 14th annual Las Vegas HRC gala
Democratic presidential candidate Mayor Pete Buttigieg delivered the keynote address last night at the annual gala Human Rights Campaign dinner in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The 37-year-old from South Bend, Indiana, used the speech to address what some have viewed as a possible vulnerability as he competes for the Democratic nomination for president, and that’s being a white male from the Midwest when many in his party feel a woman or person of color would best represent today’s Democratic Party.
Buttigieg spoke of his own experiences as a gay man in a predominantly straight society. But he also pushed back on the idea that people of different marginalized groups share in “equivalencies” in how they have experienced discrimination.
“I may be part of the LGBTQ community, but being a gay man doesn’t even tell me what it’s like to be a trans woman of color in that same community, let alone an undocumented mother of four or a disabled veteran or a displaced autoworker,” he told the audience assembled at Caesars Palace on the Las Vegas Strip.
Mayor Pete warned of a “crisis of belonging in this country,” saying that “so-called identity politics” that underscore how one person hasn’t walked in another’s shoes only exacerbates our differences.
“Something that is true,” acknowledged the Harvard and Oxford grad. “But, it doesn’t get us very far.”
The mayor noted that identity politics often serve to divide folks who have more in common than less.
“The more you know about exclusion, the more you think about belonging”
Addressing “divisive lines of thinking” present in today’s American politics, Buttigieg spoke of being told “to choose between supporting an auto worker and a trans woman of color, without stopping to think about the fact that sometimes the auto worker is a trans woman of color, and she definitely needs all the security she can get.”
“The wall I worry about most isn’t the president’s fantasy wall on the Mexican border that will never get built anyway,” he said, referencing Donald Trump’s infamous border wall. “What I worry about are the very real walls being put up between us as we get divided and carved up.”
“And what every gay person has in common with every excluded person of every kind is knowing what it’s like to see a wall,” he continued. “I am ready to use my story, my energy, my alliances, and yes, my privilege, to throw myself into tearing down those walls.”
“Each of us has a story that can either separate us, or connect us to those around us,” he added. “Yes, I am gay, and I am the son of an immigrant, and an Army brat, and I’m a husband, and I am a musician, and I’m an Episcopalian. And I’m a Democrat.”
Along the way, the mayor also touched on a wide range of progressive policy positions, including cybersecurity, gerrymandering, LGBTQ rights, reproductive health, labor unions, climate change, and big money in politics.
“We can’t let this election be about the president,” he said. “Because if Americans see us spend all our time talking about him, they’ll be left with the question: ‘Who is talking about us?’”
Buttigieg urged Democrats to start talking not only about their policies, but the values behind those policies.
“It’s time for us to get comfortable once again talking about values … like freedom,” he said. “We have allowed conservatives to monopolize the language of freedom. But we know that freedom isn’t just about freedom from, it’s about freedom to. Not just freedom from regulation, but freedom to live a life of your choosing.”
The HRC appearance capped a west coast campaign swing that included fund-raisers at the home of Gwyneth Paltrow, and another at The Abbey, a popular West Hollywood gay bar.

I always have an interesting reaction to new releases by Israeli recording artist Netta, who gained worldwide fame as the winner of the 2018 Eurovision Song contest.
You’ll recall her breakout hit “Toy,” complete with chicken clucks and more, which continues to generate millions of views each month.
Her latest release, “Nana Banana,” seems like another kind of novelty song, but I watched the lyric video all the way to the end, so something drew me in.
According to press materials, the lyrics are represent Netta’s own “quest to find a safe place outside her comfort zone in the wake of the Eurovision win.”
