Colin Farrell Shares Manscaping Mishap With Ellen DeGeneres

Ellen DeGeneres asked Colin Farrell to participate in a new segment called Celebrity Confession where guests can earn up to $10,000 for the charity of their choice for sharing a personal story they’ve never told before.

Farrell quickly dove into the tale of shooting his first American movie in 2000 which had a love scene. Being a bit nervous, he asked his director Joel Schumacher if his “retro bush” needed a trim.

Schumacher said yes, Farrell grabbed a trimmer, and things took a turn for the worse from there.

NBC News: Obama Warned Trump Against Hiring Michael Flynn

NBC News is reporting that that former President Obama personally warned then-President-elect Donald Trump about hiring Michael Flynn as his national security adviser in their Oval Office meeting on November 10th.

The warning, which has not been previously reported, came less than 48 hours after the November election when the two sat down for a 90-minute conversation in the Oval Office.

The revelation comes on a day that former acting Attorney General Sally Yates is expected to testify that Flynn misled the White House about his contacts with Russia’s ambassador to the United States.

NBC News has asked the Trump administration for a response.

According to all three former officials, Obama warned Trump against hiring Flynn. The Obama administration fired Flynn in 2014 from his position as head of the Defense Intelligence Agency, largely because of mismanagement and temperament issues.

Obama’s warning pre-dated the concerns inside the government about Flynn’s contacts with the Russian ambassador, one of the officials said. Obama passed along a general caution that he believed Flynn was not suitable for such a high level post, the official added.

Two administration officials said Obama also warned Trump to stay vigilant on North Korea.

Trump named Flynn as his national security adviser. Flynn, who was conducting private conversations with the Russian ambassador regarding sanctions, was then fired three weeks into the administration for misleading Vice President Pence about those conversations.

This morning, Trump sent out a tweet trying to deflect his own bad judgement in hiring Flynn, even after being warned.

HBO’s John Oliver Explains The Flawed American Health Care Act

John Oliver of HBO’s Last Week Tonight explains how the version of the American Health Care Act passed by House Republicans this past week is worse than the first version of the legislation.

“Yes, they took a bad thing and managed to make it even worse. It’s like watching Mariah Carey’s Glitter and saying, “You know what this needs? Jar Jar Binks.”

And while House Speaker Paul Ryan and his fellow Republicans insist that the bill guarantees access to health care for people with pre-existing conditions, they are not making clear that any small gap in insurance coverage could result in much higher premiums.

“It’s like if your daughter asks, ‘Can I have a cookie,’ and you say: ‘Sure, that will be $1.5 billion, Katie. You have not been denied this cookie, you still have full access to it should you choose to become successful enough to afford it.’”

Funny skit last night as SNL guest host Chris Pine, along with Kenan Thompson, Beck Bennett, Alex Moffat, Bobby Moynihan, all reluctantly admit they love RuPaul’s Drag Race.

Pine seems to know an awful lot about Drag Race contestant Trinity Taylor and her “tuck:’

And then there’s the fully committed “lip sync for your life” by Pine and Moynihan at the end that’s not to be missed.

Emmanuel Macron Projected To Win French Presidency With 65% Of Vote

President-elect Emmanuel Macron

Independent, pro-Europe centrist Emmanuel Macron was elected president of France today, besting far-right nationalist Marine Le Pen by a margin of 65.1% vs. 34.9%.

Le Pen’s candidacy and positions had echoed many of Donald Trump’s, who tacitly endorsed the Islamophobic and xenophobic candidate.

From The Guardian:

The US president told the Associated Press that although he was not “explicitly endorsing” the leader of the Front National, she was the “strongest on borders, and she’s the strongest on what’s been going on in France.”

“Whoever is the toughest on radical Islamic terrorism, and whoever is the toughest at the borders, will do well in the election,” he said.
