Heartthrob Garrett Clayton Comes Out In Instagram Post

 For years now, actor/hottie Garrett Clayton has earned the attention of the public for his work in The Teen Beach Movie, King Cobra, and Hairspray Live.

Among those projects, the handsome actor portrayed a 1960s high school heartthrob and gay porn star Brent Corrigan.

With the release of his new film coming up, titled Reach, the 27-year-old shared his thoughts on taking on the project specifically mentioning suicide, school shootings and their effect on him.

And along the way, Clayton came out and named his current boyfriend.

Clayton wrote:

With the release of my new movie REACH coming up, I thought it was important to explain why I took on this project in the first place. REACH deals with some very serious and timely topics that have affected me personally, and have likely influenced many of your lives as well. (I also prefer to share things that are particularly important for me here on my IG) instead of in some random magazine or online article – because you are the ones that have been rooting for me and following me on my professional and personal journey in life.

When I read the script for REACH, I immediately knew it was a film I had to be a part of. I have personally dealt with suicide within my own family, intense bullying in high school, and – on top of it all – myself and the man I’ve been in a relationship with for a long time (@hrhblakeknight) have both experienced shootings within our hometown school systems, and have witnessed the heartache that takes place in affected communities after such tragic events. These topics – not always easy to discuss- are all close to my heart, and, knowing how serious they are, I wanted to share this with you all. This film has come from the perspectives of people who care deeply about these issues, and if watching it helps even one person… then it was all worth it.

Pennsylvania: Clergy Abuse Hotline Calls Surge In Aftermath Of Catholic Church Report

In the week since the release of a damning grand jury report asserting Roman Catholic Church officials worked to protect hundreds of priests accused of sexual misconduct, calls to a clergy abuse hotline in Pennsylvania have surged.

In the week since the release of a damning grand jury report asserting Roman Catholic Church officials worked to protect hundreds of priests accused of sexual misconduct, calls to a clergy abuse hotline in Pennsylvania have surged.

Josh Grace, a spokesman for Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro, told USA Today that that the hotline has received over 300 new calls since the release of the report.

Grace added, “We’re answering every call and following up every lead.”

According to the grand jury report, which included claims of abuse stretching back 60 years, over 1,000 abuse victims were discouraged from reporting claims of abuse to prosecutors in an effort to shield hundreds of priests.

AG Shapiro tweeted recently that the investigation was “active and ongoing,” and would not end with the grand jury report.

The grand jury report, the result of a two year investigation, was presented to the press last Wednesday by AG Shapiro who deemed the report an “honest and comprehensive accounting of widespread sexual abuse.”

According to the report, the alleged abuses stretched across the Keystone state from the dioceses of Allentown, Erie, Greensburg, Harrisburg, Pittsburgh and Scranton. Those dioceses regularly minister to more than 1.7 million Catholics.

Despite the statute of limitations, two priests have now been charged with sexually abusing children. One of the priests admitted to misconduct with a 10-year-old boy more than 20 years ago.

The Vatican has since condemned the alleged abuses detailed in the report on as “criminal and morally reprehensible.”

“Those acts were betrayals of trust that robbed survivors of their dignity and faith,” said spokesman Greg Burke in a statement for the Vatican. “The church must learn hard lessons from its past, and there should be accountability for both abusers and those who permitted abuse to occur.”

Video: 100K Attend Provincetown Carnival 2018

 Labor Day, which traditionally marks the end of summer for many, looms on the horizon.

But Provincetown, Massachusetts, still has some fun and frolic to fulfill before the close of the season.

According to Cape Cod Wave Magazine, the recent Carnival 2018 was a massive success.

The parade, which took place on Commercial Street last Thursday, attracted a crowd estimated to be close to 100,000.

The event boasted not just the parade, but a pre-parade.

And a post-parade.

According to CCWM, thanks to the amazing costumes it was often difficult who was IN the parade and who was in the audience.

Watch the fun below. The video, by David Cox, was shot entirely on an iPhone, and released within 24 hours of the event.

The New York Times is reporting that Donald Trump's former personal attorney and 'fixer,' Michael Cohen, is being investigated for possible tax and bank fraud to the tune of $20 million in loans related to the taxi business he and his family own.

The New York Times is reporting that Donald Trump’s former personal attorney and ‘fixer,’ Michael Cohen, is being investigated for possible tax and bank fraud to the tune of $20 million in loans related to the taxi business he and his family own.

Investigators are also examining whether Mr. Cohen violated campaign finance or other laws by helping to arrange financial deals to secure the silence of women who said they had affairs with Mr. Trump. The inquiry has entered the final stage and prosecutors are considering filing charges by the end of August, two of the people said.

Any criminal charges against Mr. Cohen would deal a significant blow to the president. Mr. Cohen, 52, worked for the president’s company, the Trump Organization, for more than a decade. He was one of Mr. Trump’s most loyal and visible aides and called himself the president’s personal lawyer after Mr. Trump took office.

Trump keeps calling the investigation by Special Counsel Robert Mueller a “witch hunt.”

If that were true, Mueller sure has found a considerable number of witches to indict.

Trump is also angry that Mueller is filing indictments that don’t seem related to “Russian interference,” but the Special Counsel was charged with investigating not only the election interference but any crimes that might arise from the investigation.

Does it make any sense that the police, while investigating a robbery, should ignore a dead body they trip over in the course of the investigation?

First Male NFL Cheerleader Makes His Debut With New Orleans Saints

This season will mark the first time in decades that men will be joining the ranks of NFL cheerleader squads.

First to make his debut was 25-year-old Jesse Hernandez who took to the field of the Mercedes-Benz Superdome this past Friday for the New Orleans Saints preseason game against the Arizona Cardinals.

According to Nola.com, for many the historic moment came and went without fanfare although one woman interviewed in the stadium crowd offered her support saying, “If he can dance and perform, I don’t care.”

Another woman chimed in saying, “I think it’s awesome.”

Also in the supportive category is Jesse’s mom, Tracey Hernandez, who drove hours to attend her son’s debut performance.

The New Orleans Advocate’s Ramon Antonio Vargas profiled Jesse’s mother in an interview that underscored her total support for her son.

In the interview, she also admitted that Jesse had experienced bullying and harassment for a long time going back to when he became the first male to make his high school dance team in his hometown of Maurice, La. years ago.

“Those people just need to get over it,” Mama Hernandez said. “We’re in 2018. Things shouldn’t be just for men or just for women. If you have the ability to do it, you should be able to do it.”

Some Facebook comments to the Advocate article confirmed her concerns.

Based on the Facebook comments on Vargas’ story, Tracey Hernandez’s fears were realized. One he-man dismissed Jesse as a “gay bait prancing around like a fairy.” “That’s no man,” someone else said. Another ALL-CAPS guy said it was ‘THE NFL PUSHING THE PUSSYCRAT POLE SMOKING ETHICS,” whatever that means.

Other comments: “Homo.” “Pantywaist.” “Sick libturd bullshit.” “What male football fan wants some queer prancing around with the women?” “I’m surprised he hasn’t set off the fire alarms in the Superdome.”

None of that mattered to Hernandez, though, as he took to the field wearing black skinny jeans and a black/white t-shirt with a fleur de lis.

On a personal note, I should add that in my senior year of high school the cheerleading squad looked to add male cheerleaders, and of course, I tried out and got one of the four slots.

I loved cheering. It was fun to stand on a football field in front of sports fans yelling my head off, performing cheers and routines and getting a whole lot of teen tension worked out.

Along the way, the experience impacted my social life at school as I found myself spending lots of time with students I’d gone to school with for years but never got to know.

Many were totally open to the inclusion of men on the squad. However, one of the other GUYS was a total douche to me throughout the year. He’d call me “faggot” on the football field and took any chance he could to ridicule me.

Even though I didn’t really know who “I was” yet, it was those moments that helped me learn to cope with years of homophobia. And part of what I learned was – people learn to accept ‘new’ things far better than we think.

My years as a cheerleader (when I got to Syracuse University, I cheered for three years including being captain) taught me a lot about leadership and social interaction.

And then there’s the fact that I really enjoyed being in front of a crowd/audience 😉

Props to Jesse Hernandez and to LA Rams cheerleaders Quinton Peron and Napoleon Jinnies, who will make their debut shortly.

The former lawyer for “Pharma Bro” Martin Shkreli says he regrets the day he ever met the pharmaceutical executive.

Evan Greebel made the statement during his sentencing hearing for wire and securities fraud conspiracy where U.S. District Judge Kiyo Matsumoto ruled Greebel will spend 18 months in prison and pay $10 million in restitution and $115,000 in forfeiture payments.

“I will regret every day of my life the day I met Martin Shkreli,” said Greebel.

“I dread the day my children decide to search my name on the internet,” the 45-year-old lawyer added.

Greebel was convicted in December of conspiring with Shkreli to repay the pharmaceutical executive’s defrauded investors.

Shkreli was sentenced to 7 years in prison this past May.

Report: White House Counsel Has Been Cooperating “Extensively” With Robert Mueller Investigation

According to a new report from The New York Times, White House counsel Don McGahn has been cooperating with the special counsel investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election as well as Donald Trump’s possible obstruction of justice in firing former FBI Director James Comey.

From The New York Times:

The White House counsel, Donald F. McGahn II, has cooperated extensively in the special counsel investigation, sharing detailed accounts about the episodes at the heart of the inquiry into whether President Trump obstructed justice, including some that investigators would not have learned of otherwise, according to a dozen current and former White House officials and others briefed on the matter.

In at least three voluntary interviews with investigators that totaled 30 hours over the past nine months, Mr. McGahn described the president’s fury toward the Russia investigation and the ways in which he urged Mr. McGahn to respond to it. He provided the investigators examining whether Mr. Trump obstructed justice a clear view of the president’s most intimate moments with his lawyer.

Among them were Mr. Trump’s comments and actions during the firing of the F.B.I. director, James B. Comey, and Mr. Trump’s obsession with putting a loyalist in charge of the inquiry, including his repeated urging of Attorney General Jeff Sessions to claim oversight of it. Mr. McGahn was also centrally involved in Mr. Trump’s attempts to fire the special counsel, Robert S. Mueller III, which investigators might not have discovered without him.

The NY Times goes on to say that McGahn “viewed his role as protector of the presidency, not of Mr. Trump.”

McGahn’s full cooperation was apparently motivated by suspicions “that the president had decided to let Mr. McGahn take the fall for decisions that could be construed as obstruction of justice, like the Comey firing, by telling the special counsel that he was only following shoddy legal advice from Mr. McGahn.”

The Trumpster slapped back at the “failing” NY Times saying it was all a lot of nonsense because Trump “allowed him and all others to testify.”
