Trump Claims Crime In DC Is ‘Out Of Control’ – It’s Actually Down

In yet another attempt to divert attention from the Jeffrey Epstein files and last week’s disappointing jobs report, Donald Trump says crime in Washington, D.C. is “totally out of control” as he threatened to “take Federal control of the city.”

Someone might want to tell the 34-time convicted felon that crime in D.C. was down 35 percent in 2024 from the previous year, marking a 30-year low.

Gallup: Pope Leo XIV Most Popular Among Global/National Newsmakers

Pope Leo XIV — the first American pontiff — tops Gallup’s annual poll of top newsmakers and their popularity among 14 national and global figures.

Of the fourteen included in the poll, only two others have positive approval – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Sen. Bernie Sanders.

Senate Committee Rejects Trump Proposal To End Life-Saving HIV Programs

The Senate Appropriations Committee dismissed the Trump administration’s plan to end the CDC’s initiatives for HIV prevention and monitoring, along with significant proposed reductions to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) budget.
