Texas Judge Bans Abortion Pills Nationwide

Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk, a Trump-appointee in Texas just halted the F.D.A.’s 23-year-old approval of the abortion pill mifepristone in every state, making their distribution illegal in a week. And then less than an hour later, Judge Thomas O. Tennessee lawmakers have introduced their own "Don't Say Gay" legislation which would prohibit discussion of LGBTQ topics on any level in schools. Some news stories you might have missed: • New York Times: The Tennessee House, where Republicans have a super-majority, voted to expel two Democrats from the state legislature a week after they joined protesters in a call for stricter gun laws in the wake of a shooting that left six dead at a Christian school.
