Florida Man Charged With Hate Crime For ‘Beating The Gay Out Of’ A 5-Year-Old Boy

Andre Brown charged with hate crime for attempting to "beat the gay out of" a 5-year-old boy

Andre Brown Jr., 33, was arrested on Sunday, May 3, in Florida for brutally beating a 5-year-old boy.

Brown reportedly told deputies that he abused the child because of his sexual orientation, claiming he would “beat the gay out of him if possible.” Brown now facing charges of aggravated child abuse and resisting arrest.

Due to Brown maliciously beating the child and causing a fracture to his right wrist for the belief of being gay, this crime is classified as a hate crime.

2 Lawsuits Filed Challenging Florida Redistricting

Yesterday I reported that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) had quickly signed into law a new aggressively gerrymandered electoral map following last week’s Supreme Court ruling that kneecapped the Voting Rights Act.

Experts say the new map makes it likely that four districts currently held by Democrats would flip to Republicans.
