Some news items I thought worth your time: • The Advocate: Queer Hollywood writer/funny man Bruce Vilanch has a hilarious new memoir, It Seemed Like a Bad Idea at the Time, that dishes on staples of the 1970s including Paul Lynde, Charo, and the Brady Bunch. LGBTQ Nation: Republicans in the Montana state House have proposed legislation that would allow anyone who encounters a trans or non-binary person in a gendered bathroom to sue that person or whoever granted their entry up to two years after the encounter. • Boise State Public Radio: The Idaho Legislature’s first initiative of the year is considering a resolution that would ask the U.S. Supreme Court to reverse it’s decision on same-sex marriage. I kid you not…

Rick Scott (R-FL) thinks Donald Trump’s fantasy of seizing Greenland, Canada and the Panama Canal under U.S. control is “exciting.” • The Advocate: Fox News talking head Jesse Watters supports using firearms for self defense, but he thinks LGBTQ+ people who do it are “nuts.”
