• LGBTQ Nation: After three decades, the organizers of Disney Gay Days — the unofficial annual fan event where LGBTQ+ people visit the Disney World theme park in Orlando, Florida — cancelled this year’s event citing the current political climate and loss of sponsorships.

• NOTUS: A number of conservative advocates launched a campaign in January with the explicit goal of organizing to overturn the landmark Supreme Court decision that legalized same-sex marriage in 2015. Elected Republicans want nothing to do with it.

• Washington Blade: The D.C. government agreed to pay $500K to a gay Department of Corrections officer as settlement in a lawsuit the officer filed in 2021 alleging he was subjected to years of harassment and discrimination at his job because of his sexual orientation.

• Piers Morgan: Megyn Kelly is practically unhinged in this clip raging about Spanish being sung at the Super Bowl. Notice in the video how she mocks the word “Latino” in her rant.

• New York Times: Ghislaine Maxwell, co-conspirator of Jeffrey Epstein who is currently serving a federal prison sentence on sex-trafficking charges, invoked her 5th Amendment right to every question asked during a deposition before a congressional committee today. Maxwell’s lawyer told lawmakers that she “would answer questions if she were granted clemency.”

• USA Today: Budweiser’s “American Icons” Super Bowl commercial, tied to America’s 250th anniversary, won USA Today’s annual Ad Meter contest — a record-setting 10th win for the brand.
