• The Caftan Chronicles: Jon Kinnally, one of the main writers of “Will & Grace” from start to finish, shares with Tim Murphy the baby steps the iconic series had to take to fully come into its gayness. Great read.

• Them: Over the weekend, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth reposted and endorsed a CNN interview with his church’s pastor Doug Wilson, in which Wilson advocated for, among many things, the reinstatement of U.S. laws criminalizing same-sex relations. Trump Orders Military Takeover Of DC Police Dept

Donald Trump announced on Monday a 30-day takeover of the Washington, D.C. police department and deployment of 800 National Guard troops in order to deal with what he described as “bloodthirsty criminals” and “roving mobs of wild youth.

Trump: I’m Going To See Putin ‘In Russia’ (The Meeting Is In Alaska)

Donald Trump appears to be confused

During a press conference on Monday, Felon-in-Chief Donald Trump seemed to be confused about his upcoming meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin and which country owns Alaska.

As he discussed plans for taking over policing Washington, D.C., Trump referenced his meeting with Putin “in Russia” on Friday.

• Boy Culture: A fascinating dive into the 1965 psycho-thriller “Who Killed Teddy Bear?” starring bisexual Hollywood icon Sal Mineo, Juliet Prowse and Elaine Stritch.  The film is currently screening at NYC’s Film Forum now through August 14. • NBC News: New York City has opened the first publicly funded homeless shelter for transgender people. Ace’s Place will offer 150 beds and services, including counseling, financial literacy workshops and a work-study program in the culinary arts.
