The Army is looking into why two Army Apache attack helicopters hovered outside the Tennessee home of musician Kid Rock on Saturday while conducting a training flight.
This is a level of respect that shit for brains Governor of California will never know. God Bless America and all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to defend her. 🇺🇸 🙏 pic.twitter.com/iD5mmkaXv1

From the Washington Post:
Robert Ritchie, whose stage name is Kid Rock, posted videos Saturday showing himself saluting and clapping as an Army AH-64 Apache hovers just off the pool area of his mansion in Whites Creek, a suburb of Nashville.
The two crew members reply with hand gestures that appear to be returning the salute. In another video, a second Apache is shown in the background climbing in the air.
One of the helicopters, used by the Army for close attacks and air support for ground troops, spent three minutes circling the home at least four times, according to publicly available flight tracking data.
At least two aircraft from the 101st Combat Aviation Brigade were involved, said Maj. Jonathon Bless, a spokesman for the division, based northwest of Nashville at Fort Campbell, an Army post that straddles the Kentucky-Tennessee line.
The crews were flying a training mission, and a flyby at Ritchie’s home was not part of that mission.

In addition to a huge waste of tax payer money, fuel, and resources, Kid Rock made a big show of saluting the crew of the helicopters.
For those unaware, it is considered incorrect protocol for a civilian to salute.
The salute is a formal military courtesy reserved for service members in uniform to recognize rank. Instead of a salute, civilians should show respect by placing their right hand over their heart.
I come from a military family as my dad served in two wars and retired from the Air Force at the rank of major.
While a little kid saluting is often seen as sweet, an adult civilian doing it can appear uneducated on etiquette.
The closest Kid Rock has come to “serving” is when he shot cases of Bud Light in protest of Budweiser’s LGBTQ outreach.
Folks on X had a few things to say about the incident.

Who wasted thousands of dollars in fuel, maintenance and wages to go hover by his pool?

Civilians aren’t supposed to salute..that’s only for military. A real patriot would know that..a drug head trailer park rock singer would not.

Yeah so, you’re not supposed to salute people in the military when you’ve never been in it yourself. It’s blatantly disrespectful.
