• Edge Media: Arizona lawmakers have passed bills prohibiting gender reassignment surgery for minors (which doesn’t happen btw) and banning transgender athletes from playing on girls sports teams. There are about 16 trans athletes who have been allowed to play on teams that align with their gender identities – out of about 170,000 high school athletes in the state. • Axios: The FDA authorized a second COVID-19 booster shot for Americans age 50 or older on Tuesday in an effort to protect older Americans if there is another surge in infections. The CDC still has to OK the second booster dose for Americans 50 or older.
