Some news items I thought worth your time:
• OUT: How full-frontal nude scenes almost made it into Heated Rivalry (stars Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie above).
• Out On Film: Atlanta’s 39th Out on Film festival has announced this year’s winners, with Gugu’s World winning the Best Narrative Feature jury award & Director and La Bola Negra taking the top Audience honor.
• Queerty: Taking a look at the differences in ED medications and which might best fit your life and lifestyle.
• Banana Ball: I LOVE watching clips from Banana Ball teams. So much thought goes into the performances, and the players clearly love what they do. Check out “Look What We Made” featuring all six teams performing at this past weekend’s first-ever Banana Bowl.
• New York Post: The man mauled to death by a tiger at a British wildlife park has been identified as a former child actor with a history of mental illness. He reportedly posted a video of himself approaching the animal on Instagram just before the fatal attack.
• LGBTQ Nation: Two TV newsroom directors in Michigan were fired in 2023 after they sent a homophobic memo to staff directing them to “discern the newsworthy-ness” of covering Pride events and consider how to get “both sides” of the issue. They sued and were just awarded $4 million.
A TV newsroom mutinied over a memo calling for coverage of “both sides” of Pride events.
