• The Advocate: Intersex and transgender Kansans are taking their challenge to the state’s driver’s license and restroom restrictions to court this week. Plaintiffs say the ID requirement has exposed them to scrutiny in ordinary interactions, even after they complied with the law.
• OUT: Japanese volleyball star Rui Takahashi comes out as gay. To date, only a small number of Japan’s pro athletes have come out as LGBTQ+.

• Boy Culture: Matt Rettenmund has lots of behind-the-scenes info from this year’s MTV Video Music Awards.
• Pennsylvania Attorney General: Richard Garnett, previously the “Games Director” of a church youth group, was found guilty of sexually abusing a young boy in the church basement between 2004 and 2006. Note – not a drag queen.
• New Music: The Cowgays keep getting sassier and sassier as their latest music video, “See You In Texas,” proves.
• JoeMyGod: Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is set to announce a 20 percent cut to slots slated for admirals and generals at the Pentagon as part of his push to overhaul the outlook of the department. Fewer admirals and generals means fewer people with the authority to resist orders to commit war crimes
• AP News: The Trump administration some $20 million in federal funds from the Department of Homeland Security to finance a set of controversial pro-Trump advertisements that recently began airing on television. The ads have drawn widespread criticism from Republicans and Democrats as a blatant misuse of taxpayer dollars that likely runs afoul of anti-propaganda law.
