• Law Dork: The U.S. Supreme Court — on a 5-4 vote — cleared the way for Donald Trump’s ballroom construction to proceed on White House grounds despite no congressional authorization for the action, ruling that the nonprofit organization that sued likely did not have standing to do so.
• Politico: The Trump administration has awarded a nearly $253,000 contract for lighting work on the two-lane Harry S. Truman Bowling Alley in the White House. In 2014, under President Barack Obama, a proposed reno was cancelled within an hour and a half after the story broke amid a Republican backlash over whether it was a good use of taxpayer money.
