• Attitude Magazine: Red, White & Royal Wedding author Casey McQuiston says the sequel will be ‘spicier’ than the first film.
• The Advocate: A police officer in Kansas questioned whether a trans woman’s driver’s license was real during a routine traffic stop because it identified her as male. She had changed the gender marker on her license in March to comply with a new anti-trans law requiring ID to show “biological sex.”
Even though no citation was issued, she later received a notice for failure to appear for an arraignment on a charge of operating a motor vehicle without a valid license.

• Gallup: Just 53% of Americans say they’re “extremely” or “very” proud to be an American, according to new polling — the lowest share since Gallup began asking the question in 2001. National pride reached a high of 92% shortly after 9/11.

• Kenneth-in-the-212: NYC Mayor Mamdani knows how to make a splash.
• Politico: Trump said Monday that he hasn’t yet decided whether he will sign into law the bipartisan housing bill, calling it a “big yawn.”
Among other things, the housing bill would ban institutional investors from snatching up single family homes. Considering “affordability” is a big issue for voters, you’d think he’d just take the ‘win’ and sign it.
