Happy Friday! Some news items for you as we head into the weekend:
• Socialite Life: Benito Skinner (above) announced that Season 2 of his hit Prime Video series Overcompensating is now filming. The show earned a 94% on Rotten Tomatoes and was renewed in September 2025.
• Queerty: Sydney James Harcourt, currently starring on Broadway as “Rum Tum Tugger” in CATS: The Jellicle Ball, shared in a recent podcast interview about hooking up with straight dudes: “Do that kind of work for the community.”
• OUT: It’s been two decades since The Devil Wears Prada become a gay cultural touchstone. And with its sequel opening today in theaters nationwide, fans are running to social media to show love for the new film saying it’s “better than the original.”
• JoeMyGod: Donald Trump claimed today that “YMCA” by the Village People only reached #5 on the charts 32 years ago, but finally hit #1 thanks to him. In reality, “YMCA” reached #2 (not #5) on the Hot 100 in early 1979, which was 47 years ago. The song did not spend months at #1 on the charts, as he claims, thanks to his double-jerkoff dances at campaign rallies.

• The Daily Beast: Donald Trump’s sons Donald Jr. and Eric joined the board of drone-maker Powerus in March. The company, which was founded last year, just landed a lucrative deal with the Pentagon.
• ABC News: The Pentagon is planning to withdraw about 5,000 American forces from Germany. Senior defense officials characterized the move as a signal of Donald Trump’s “discontent” with the level of assistance that European allies have offered in the U.S.-Iran war. #butthurt
