• Gayety: While the second season of the hit series “Heated Rivalry” is officially in development, Crave executives have confirmed that a standalone episode set between seasons is being actively discussed. Squeeeeee!!!
• The Advocate: Two gay Iranian men who fled their home country after being arrested for “homosexual conduct” and facing possible execution are at risk of being deported by the U.S. as early as Sunday. Iran has some of the harshest penalties in the world regarding homosexuality.
• Gay City News: The Pentagon has halted training for recently-enlisted HIV-positive troops ahead of a potential ban.
• Them: Out Olympic silver medalist Gus Kenworthy says he sees himself in the hit drama/romance series “Heated Rivalry” as a once-closeted athlete in a hyper-masculine sport who spent years hiding who he is.
• LGBTQ Nation: The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has issued a formal apology to a former radio host for the anti-gay harassment he endured during his employment including being called a “fairy boy” and told to act “less gay.”
• Washington Post: Donald Trump says it’s “too late” to stop construction on his beloved White House Ballroom because “key materials have been lined up.” Critics say the administration should have sought public comment before making such significant changes to a building long described as the “People’s House.”
• Democracy Docket: Hours after federal immigration officers shot and killed Alex Pretti in Minneapolis, U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi sent Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz a letter saying ICE agents could be removed from IF the state would hand over its voter rolls data.
• Reuters: Trump’s job approval rating hit a new low in the latest Reuters/Ipsos poll over the weekend falling to just 39% approving while 53% disapprove.
