• Metro Weekly: José Rolón (above), a gay father and popular social media influencer known as @nycgaydad, has filed a defamation lawsuit against right-wing commentator Stew Peters, who falsely accused him of “criminal sexual conduct” involving his three young children.

• Gayety: The Minnesota Supreme Court has ruled that USA Powerlifting discriminated against Minneapolis athlete JayCee Cooper by banning her from competing in the women’s division because she is transgender.
• LGBTQ Nation: In response to Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s order removing a Pride crosswalk in front of the Oak Lawn United Methodist Church in the city, church leaders in the area are painting theeir building’s broad steps in bright rainbow colors.

• New York Times: Democrats in Virginia are now getting into the congressional redistricting game. Democrats now hold six of Virginia’s 11 congressional seats. Redistricting could deliver two or three additional seats for the party depending on how aggressive the redraw gets.
• US Weekly: A new documentary (exec produced by Jamie Lee Curtis) will shine a light on the public disappearance of famed ’90s fitness instructor Susan Powter. The “Stop The Insanity” personality, who came out as lesbian in 2004, amassed and lost nearly $200 million in business deals at the height of her fame. She’s now an Uber Eats driver in Las Vegas.
• Before You Go: I generally watch a few musical performances on YouTube before falling asleep each night as a bit of respite from the day. YouTube has really gotten to know what to suggest for me, and I thought I’d share some with you every now and then.
