• Boy Culture: A fascinating dive into the 1965 psycho-thriller “Who Killed Teddy Bear?” starring bisexual Hollywood icon Sal Mineo, Juliet Prowse and Elaine Stritch. The film is currently screening at NYC’s Film Forum now through August 14. I would love to see this.
• LGBTQ Nation: A recent study found 5 children who acquired HIV from their mothers through pregnancy, childbirth, or breastfeeding and were given antiretroviral (ARV) drugs early in their lives had an unexpected outcome – the virus is now undetectable in their bodies even after stopping the therapy.
• Greg In Hollywood: Out Olympic ice skating medalist Adam Rippon won an Emmy Award he didn’t even know he was up for – as an ‘Event Analyst’ during NBC’s coverage of the 2024 Winter Olympics. “I’m afraid to touch it!”
• MetroWeekly: Nico Young made history on July 31 by winning the 10,000-meter final at the USATF Outdoor Championships, becoming the first out gay man to claim a U.S. track and field title.
• The Advocate: Andry Hernández Romero, a gay Venezuelan man who had legally sought asylum in the U.S. before being deported under the Trump administration, recounts in detail how he endured beatings, sexual assault, and months of uncertainty inside El Salvador’s CECOT prison.
