Far-right nutjob Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) turned a congressional hearing into a wild, deranged circus as she badgered Dr. Anthony Fauci with unrelated, unhinged attacks while he tried to answer her questions. This is really terrible stuff. At one point, she decided she wouldn’t refer to Fauci as a “doctor” when he’s been a doctor since graduating from Cornell University in 1966 and ranked first in his class.

For the record, Fauci served as the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) from 1984 to 2022, and was one of the world’s most frequently cited scientists across all scientific journals from 1983 to 2002. Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-CA) sets the record straight.
