
• New Republic: The Tennessee House of Representatives has passed a bill that would allow people to refuse to “solemnize” a marriage if they disagree with it. The bill could allow county clerks to deny marriage licenses to same-sex, interfaith, or interracial couples. • Human Rights Watch: A bill introduced in Uganda’s Parliament criminalizing same-sex conduct and sexual and gender identity calls for a ten-year prison sentence for publicly saying that you are anything but heterosexual. No decision has been made in regard to whether any adults associated with the case could be held criminally liable. • Politico: A man convicted of credit card skimming in Seattle in 2017 and deported to Brazil has submitted a sworn declaration to federal authorities alleging that truth-challenged Rep.
