Woman Sues Over All-Male Policy At Gay Clothing-Optional Resort + More News

Some news items you might have missed:

• Pink News: A Florida woman has filed a complaint alleging she was discriminated against by the Key West resort Island House because she wasn’t allowed to stay the all-male, clothing-optional hotel.

• NBC News: J. Harrison Ghee (Some Like It Hot) and Alex Newell (Shucked) became the first gender non-conforming actors to be nominated for Tony Awards today.

• ABC News: Ugandan lawmakers on Tuesday passed a new version of its hideous anti-LGBTQ bill to remove a clause that would have criminalized the act of coming out as gay. It’s still a hideous bill.

• ABC27: The Pennsylvania House narrowly passed a bill that would prohibit discrimination based on sex, sexual orientation, or gender identity or expression. Pennsylvania is the only state in the northeast that hasn’t codified such protections.

• LGBTQ Nation: Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt (R) has rejected funding his state’s PBS station because Clifford the dog “indoctrinates” kids.

• JoeMyGod: I reported yesterday that a quartet of hateful Karens had confiscated the hallway bench Montana Rep. Zooey Zephyr had been using since being banned from the floor of the GOP-controlled House forcing her to work standing up at a lunch counter.

Today, supporters deployed a “blue bench brigade” reserving the bench for Zephyr.
