In the new romantic comedy WICKER, Olivia Colman plays an ostracized fisherwoman who commissions the village basketmaker (Peter Dinklage) to weave her a husband out of wicker (Alexander Skarsgård).
And Mr. Wicker turns out to be the best husband in the village…
Official synopsis:
On the outskirts of a village by the sea, lives a Fisherwoman; smelly, single and perpetually ridiculed.
One day, fed up with her stuffy, small-minded neighbors, she commissions herself a husband to be made from wicker.
In an otherwise conservative town, this unconventional romance sparks outrage, jealousy and chaos.
Looks like much fun.
Directed by Alex Huston Fischer and Eleanor Wilson, the cast also includes Elizabeth Debicki, Marli Siu, and Nabhaan Rizwan.
I’ll watch anything with Olivia Colman. Big fan of Skarsgård and Dinklage as well.
Look for WICKER in theaters October 30th.
