• AP News: Virginia officials have agreed not to fully enforce a 2020 law banning the scientifically discredited practice of conversion therapy for minors as part of an agreement with a faith-based conservative group. #boooo
• CNN: Donald Trump keeps lying about the price of gas. “Gasoline just hit $1.99 today in five states,” he said today. Except it’s not true. AAA reports Mississippi has the lowest gas prices of any state at $2.71 – not anywhere near $1.99.
• Gayety: Lead with Love: LA Strong, KTLA’s Pride Month fundraising special, raised $721,622 for Project Angel Food during a live telethon held June 28. Hosted by a constellation of LGBTQ+ celebrities and allies, the event landed with a splash – centered around drag icon Bianca Del Rio.
• New Music: Out recording artist Reneé Rapp drops her new music video, “Mad,” an impassioned plea for a lover to get over their bad mood and shift to cuddle mode.
• LGBTQ Nation: The Supreme Court has ordered appellate court judges to reconsider previous rulings that found that state laws and policies in Idaho, North Carolina, Oklahoma, and West Virginia violated trans people’s right to equal protection under the Fourteenth Amendment.
• CNN: Tesla reported another record sales plunge Wednesday – down nearly 60K cars or 13.5% compared to a year ago – as brand damage from CEO Elon Musk’s political activities continues to batter the once fast-growing electric car maker.
• Instinct Magazine: After sweating their way through one of the year’s most intense matches and securing their club’s third straight Top 14 title, rugby stars Jack Willis and Blair Kinghorn decided the only thing left to do was celebrate with a good old-fashioned lip-lock. Who says straight guys can’t kiss?
