Updated: The Most And Least LGBTQ Friendly Countries In Europe

ILGA-Europe – which works for LGBTQ safety, equality and freedom – has released its sixteenth annual Rainbow Map, determining the most and least LGBTQ-friendly countries in Europe. The index examines data in seven categories, and each country receives an overall score. The categories are: equality and non-discrimination, family, hate crime and hate speech, legal gender recognition, intersex bodily integrity, civil society space and asylum.

At the other end of the scale, Russia received the least LGBTQ-friendly rating thanks to its ongoing extreme anti-LGBTQ policies.
