The Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool is still getting tons of scrutiny following the Trump administration’s failed $18 million renovation.
As I’m sure you’ve read by now, the water became saturated with clouds of blooming algae, which were obscuring the pool floor that had just been painted a shade of “American flag blue.”
Then the paint began to peel off, making it a tourist destination for unusual reasons.

On Saturday, Trump announced on social media that “multiple individuals” had been arrested for “vandalizing” the Reflecting Pool – because “vandals” caused the algae and peeling paint…?
The Donald added that the issues are now so severe that the pool would likely have to be at least partly drained for “necessary repairs.”
In the meantime, visitors to the pool have been ticketed for touching the water as strips of paint float by.
And, the National Guard has been deployed (I shit you not) to “protect” the pool from “vandals.”
The party of small government are now hunting down Americans that TOUCH the reflecting pool water.

The National Guard, along with local police, have been dispatched to the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool to guard the algae.
