Donald Trump scored major boos from the Madison Square Garden crowd last night at Game 3 of the NBA Finals between the New York Knicks and the San Antonio Spurs.
All was fairly quiet inside the Garden when Trump arrived to his VIP security glass encased suite, but midway through the national anthem, the Jumbotron threw up a shot of Trump and the crowd immediately burst into jeers and boos.
The boos subsided only when the Jumbotron camera switched to Knicks star Jalen Brunson.
Due to Trump’s attendance, the first sitting president to attend an NBA Finals game, NYers were forced to show up hours before tip-off, work their way through fences and security protocols much like airport security procedures.
I’ll note that the New York Knicks’ historic 13-game playoff winning streak ended last night as the Knicks fell 115-111 to the San Antonio Spurs. #ThanksTrump
