X Factor: Aussie Seann Miley Moore’s Kills With Queen’s “The Show Must Go On”

Aussie Seann Miley Moore brings the very unexpected in Week 1 of this season’s X Factor UK auditions.

This could have been very average, or done south quickly.

But, no.

Simon Cowell: “I’m going to remember this audition for a very, very long time.”

Via The Mirror:

Take a hairy fur jacket, a PVC skirt, leather platform heels, sheer mesh top, metal waist-synching belt, hoop earrings, heavy make-up and a backwards baseball cap and you have an X Factor sensation before he’d even started singing.

Seann, who revealed he moved to London from Australia to compete on the show, hit all the right notes with his version of Queen’s “The Show Must Go On.”

After his crowd-wowing performance and incredibly powerful vocal, he sobbed as a tearful Ora told him: “There is nothing I can say to you apart from I am so happy you came on this show!”

With a standing ovation from the crowd and the judges, the gushing comments just kept coming.

Moore’s amazing performance was made even more exciting by the support of the audience. While Moore’s appearance is his own wonderful, unique expression of who he is, the audience went right with him.

For those who may not know the song,  it was recorded by Queen late in Freddie Mercury’s battle with AIDS. Released in 1991, the song was certified Gold in the US.

The X Factor UK 2012 – Ella Henderson “Believe”

Folks in the UK are talking about X Factor contestant Ella Henderson’s “Adele-isation” of Cher’s hit dance song “Believe.”

In some ways, it reminds me of Matt Albers recent cover of “I Want To Dance With Somebody.” Sometimes when you slow the song down, you do the lyricist a favor and their work enjoys some new light. “Believe” sounds practically poignant in this version by Ella.

Cher herself gave the performance a thumbs up by tweeting her support.

Khloé Kardashian to Host The X Factor?

Khloé Kardashian is apparently in the running to become the next host of the Fox talent show The X Factor, according to TMZ.com.

Reports say that the Keeping Up with the Kardashians personality is poised to take the hosting spot.

Unidentified sources say her chances of being hired are high, according to the report.

“I’m a big fan of The X Factor,” Kardashian told E! Online last month, after reports surfaced that she was among the finalists who auditioned for the gig.

Interesting – she’s going to host a show that goes looking for talent?

The headline writes itself, no?

Britney Spears signs $15 million deal with X Factor

After months of eight-figure negotiations, the pop star has finally signed her contract to join Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid as a judge on The X Factor.

From Queerty: “The contract is signed. There’s been a lot of back and forth over the past few weeks as they negotiated the small details, but she’s on. It’s all completed and Britney is beyond excited. She’s ready for this… She can’t wait to sit down next to Simon at the judges’ table and give this everything she’s got. She is excited about showing the world that she can do this, and do this well. This is the perfect next stage in her career. Both Britney and Simon are very excited to work together.”

 “Give this everything she’s got?”

Show “the world that she can do this?”

Umm, no offense but isn’t she just going to sit and offer opinions?

Simon Cowell robbed after one night stand

From TMZ: Simon Cowell has learned the hard way not to sleep with strangers, because when he woke up he realized he had been robbed of a computer that contained X Factor secrets.

TMZ has confirmed last October, Simon hooked up with a girl he met at Drai’s nightclub in Hollywood. He took her home, but the next morning she was gone and so was his computer and his wallet loaded with cash.

Simon — who has his Beverly Hills mansion wired for security — called the cops. The footage showed the woman, cops tracked her down and she handed over the computer and the wallet sans cash.

Britney Spears to be next judge on The X Factor?

J-Lo revitalized her career with a judge spot on American Idol. So now, it looks like Britney is about to give her career a boost with a gig on The X Factor.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Britney Spears’s fiancé Jason Trawick has been brokering the deal, although sources say X Factor head honcho Simon Cowell actually approached her first.

THR thinks this could be a good move: “Spears brings legitimacy as a successful recording artist, something critics of X Factor say was missing in last year’s competition, as well as a level of unpredictability and drama that also was largely absent from the Fox show when Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul were judges.”

X Factor: Paula Abdul. Nicole Scherzinger and Steve Jones not returning

Sources tell E! News that Nicole Scherzinger and Steve Jones aren’t the only ones not coming back to X Factor next season.

Believe it or not, Fox has informed Simon Cowell’s longtime friend Paula Abdul she won’t be needed for the series’ next installment.

“She found out today,” says a show source. “At this point, the only ones staying are Simon and L.A. Reid.”

Another source confirms to E! News that both Paula and Nicole were not renewed, “Simon wants to take the show in a different direction,” says the insider.
