Trump Rant: “‘Garbage’ Fox News Doing Nothing To Get Me Re-Elected!”

A new report from the Senate Judiciary committee reveals new details of Donald Trump's pressure campaign to have the Justice Department overturn the 2020 election

In a series of tweets today, Donald Trump called out conservative news channel Fox News for “doing nothing” to help his re-election bid this fall.

“Many will disagree, but Fox News is doing nothing to help Republicans, and me, get re-elected on November 3rd,” Trump tweeted.

“Sure, there are some truly GREAT people on Fox, but you also have some real ‘garbage’ littered all over the network, people like Dummy Juan Williams, Schumerite Chris Hahn, Richard Goodstein, Donna Brazile, Niel Cavuto, and many others,” he continued. “They repeat the worst of the Democrat speaking points, and lies. All of the good is totally nullified, and more. Net Result = BAD! CNN & MSDNC are all in for the Do Nothing Democrats! Fox WAS Great!”

Considering the news network has been extremely pro-Trump during his administration, the virtual backhand was something of a surprise.

Among others, former Republican lawmaker Joe Walsh called Trump out for “whining” and tagged Fox News hosts asking if it’s their job to get Trump re-elected.

“The biggest crybaby in the history of this planet whines that Fox News isn’t helping him get re-elected. What say you Bret Baier? Is that your job? To help get Trump re-elected? What say you @ Fox News Sunday? Chris Wallace? What say you Dana Perino? Brit Hume?”

Also in TrumpLand today, the Donald offered this word salad when asked about his most recent test for coronavirus:

“I tested very positively, in another sense, this morning. I tested positively toward negative, right? No, I tested perfectly this morning — meaning I tested negative. But that’s a way of saying it: positively toward the negative.”

America, I give you – the president of the United States.

Trump: Windmills Are Spewing Tremendous Fumes Into The Atmosphere

Donald Trump served up this rambling, nonsensical word salad during his speech at Turning Point USA.

“I never understood wind. I know windmills very much, I have studied it better than anybody. I know it is very expensive. They are made in China and Germany mostly, very few made here, almost none, but they are manufactured, tremendous — if you are into this — tremendous fumes and gases are spewing into the atmosphere. You know we have a world, right?”

“So the world is tiny compared to the universe. So tremendous, tremendous amount of fumes and everything. You talk about the carbon footprint, fumes are spewing into the air, right spewing, whether it is China or Germany, is going into the air.”

“A windmill will kill many bald eagles. After a certain number, they make you turn the windmill off, that is true. By the way, they make you turn it off. And yet, if you killed one, they put you in jail. That is OK. But why is it OK for windmills to destroy the bird population?”

You really have to watch it to understand how truly odd the remarks were:

Fox News’ Shep Smith: Trump’s Attack On Libel Laws Is “A Word Salad Of Nothingness”

Fox News host Shep Smith was not having Donald Trump’s not-even-thinly-veiled attack on author Michael Wolff when the Trumpster announced he wants his administration to explore a possible overhaul of “very unfair” libel laws.

“For clarity, because we’re in the position to report facts here, all of that about libel laws––that was just a word salad of nothingness, because none of that means anything, except ‘look over here’. He couldn’t change the libel laws if he wanted to change the libel laws, he couldn’t change ’em if he got the Congress in there. These are state laws.

“He’s not a dictator. He’s not a king. He can’t change the libel laws. That’s preposterous.”

As Shep rightfully points out, the president can’t change laws. Only Congress can.

And Congress can only change federal laws. Libel laws vary state to state.

Lord, can someone inform Trump about such issues before he goes off half-cocked and says these stupid things?

Word Salad: Michele Bachmann On The Hate Crimes Act

“It’s political correctness that rules the day. So when you’re part of a favored group, then you get special benefits that nobody else gets. That’s the very form of tyranny because when government supposedly gives something — government has nothing to give, they have to take it away from other people. So when they give it to that certain group, that means, by definition, they’re taking it away from you.”

– Michele Bachmann, speaking about the Hate Crimes Act in a new DVD series by David Barton.

Quote of the Day: Sarah Palin

“On the other hand, I think we can send a message and say, ‘You want to be in America, A, you’d better be here legally or you’re out of here. B, when you’re here, let’s speak American.’”
– former half-term governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin
