Opens November 22. • The Advocate: U.S. officials are intensifying efforts to combat the spread of mpox as the virus outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo continues to escalate, with over 650 deaths reported in 2024 alone. • New Music: Out Tony/Emmy/Grammy Award winner Billy Porter drops his new EP, Black Mona Lisa Vol. 2: The Cookout Sessions, featuring the single, “Not Today.” • Metro Weekly: Sweet Briar College, a Virginia women’s liberal arts college, has banned transgender women restricting its admissions policy to only allow cisgender women to enroll. • LGBTQ Nation: Coldplay frontman Chris Martin shared a touching moment on stage with a trans fan during the band’s Music of the Spheres World Tour in Dublin, Ireland, when Martin spotted a fan in the crowd holding a sign that said, “Trans fan. Coldplay saved my life. It’s my dream to come on stage.”
