UK Man Trolls Anti-Gay Trolls At Chester Pride Festival

In a video posted to Vimeo Sunday, Dean Paton from Chester-based ‘heritage and education’ company Big Heritage decided on his own plan to handle anti-gay trolls who held signs protesting the Pride Festival in Chester, England.

He calmly took his place next to the haters holding sign with hate speech, then unrolled his own sign which read: “Homophobes are statistically more likely to be gay.”

Bravo, Dean!

Same-sex marriage to begin March 29, 2014 in England and Wales

Same-sex marriages will begin in England and Wales on March 29, 2014 – earlier than expected.

From BBC News:

Initially it was thought the first same-sex marriage in England and Wales would not take place until the summer.

Couples wishing to be among the first to marry will need to give formal notice of their intention to marry on 13 March.

It comes after the government’s controversial legislation on the issue received Royal Assent in July.

The Conservative, Labour and Liberal Democrat leaderships all backed the proposals.

BBC political correspondent Norman Smith says it is understood the government, following the passing of the Marriage (Same-Sex Couples) Act, has been able to put in place the necessary arrangements much faster than previously thought.

Olympic Diver Tom Daley chats with Jonathan Ross on coming out and “love at first sight” with his new boyfriend.

He says making and releasing his “coming out” video was “a terrifying decision to make… I just wanted to say something in my own words from my heart.”

Daley also added that he himself was surprised he fell for a man: “It happened so quickly. I thought I’d really liked someone before but I’d never felt the feeling of love and it happened and I was completely overwhelmed by it to the point where I can’t get him out of my head all the time… I thought that I’d felt feelings like it before but this surpasses it.”

Kate Middleton has given birth, and the royal baby is…

A boy! Weighing in at 8 pounds, 6 ounces, according to the palace, and born at 4:24 p.m.

That’s bigger than William when he was born. The long-awaited little one arrived Monday, July 22nd.

Kate and the baby are said to be doing well and staying in St. Mary’s Hospital in London overnight.

As for a name, that hasn’t been revealed yet and probably won’t be for a little while. William’s name wasn’t revealed for a week.

Kate headed to St. Mary’s Hospital in London from Kensington Palace at around 6 a.m. Monday morning. William was with her; he is taking paternity leave, the first royal to do so.

The little one’s title is His Royal Highness, Prince of Cambridge. Will and Kate are the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. They had kept the baby’s gender a surprise — even from themselves — until the birth.
