“The crowd at the 2017 inauguration was not the largest ever measured on the national mall. Sorry, it wasn’t. Why did the president claim it was? Because that’s who he is. Donald Trump is a salesman: A talker, a boaster, a booster, a compulsive self-promoter. At times, he’s a full-blown BS artist.
“If Trump hadn’t gotten rich in real estate he could have made a fortune selling cars. Most people know this. It’s transparent, really.
“Is lying really the reason the left despises Donald Trump? Or could the real problem be, as is so often the case, the exact opposite of what they claim it is? Think back over the last four years. When have the CNN anchors been the angriest?
“Was it when Trump told some whopper or exaggerated his own accomplishments? Nope. They’re used to that kind of lying. Everyone who spends time around politicians is. What infuriates official Washington is not when Trump lies, but when he tells the truth.
And that’s where Carlson goes off into the underbrush on the way to Poughkeepsie as he slices and dices language & logic to address multiple topics – Haiti, MS-13, justifying Saudi Arabia’s killing of a journalist – often using ‘absolute’ positions as reality. But by the end, he does circle back to say: “Let’s just agree that Trump is a racist liar and move on. By the way, did you know he’s up to almost 14,000 lies by now? My gosh, what a bad person he is. Unlike us.”

| Fox News’ Tucker Carlson |
After receiving a lot of backlash for declaring white supremacy in America to be a “hoax,” Fox News’ Tucker Carlson announced last night that he will be taking a vacation.
How convenient…
CNN contacted Fox News spokesperson about the trip and was told it had been in the works before Carlson had made his incendiary remarks.
According to the spokesperson, Carlson will return to his show on August 19.
But, as CNN points out, there is a long history of Fox hosts going on vacation amid controversy:
• Laura Ingraham was suddenly absent in March 2018 after mocking Parkland survivor and gun control activist David Hogg.
• Sean Hannity conveniently took personal time in May 2017 after losing advertisers for promoting the Seth Rich conspiracy theory.
• Jesse Watters made for the hills in April 2017 after making a comment widely criticized as lewd about Ivanka Trump.
• And who can forget Bill O’Reilly, who left and never returned from vacay in April 2017 after the New York Times reported he had settled five sexual harassment allegations for millions of dollars?
Fox News host Tucker Carlson told his TV audience last night that white supremacy is “actually not a real problem in America.”
“This is a hoax, just like the Russia hoax,” he added. “It’s a conspiracy theory used to divide the country and keep a hold on power.”
Saying “the whole thing is a lie,” Carlson downplayed the threat by saying, “The combined membership of every white supremacist organization in this country would be able to fit inside a college football stadium.”
As CNN reports, the point is that men like the suspect in the El Paso shooting aren’t “members” of an “organization.”
The suspect made clear in the manifesto he left behind that he wanted to kill as many Mexicans as possible.
But Tucker Carlson says white supremacy is not a real problem in America.

I have something to tell Tucker Carlson. My parents were white supremacists. Their hate was not a hoax. They wanted what’s happening now. I ran from everything they believed. But their vile beliefs were real. Dangerous. And shared by too many. We can’t pretend otherwise.— Bryce Tache 🇺🇸 (@brycetache) August 7, 2019

Folks are starting to wonder about Fox News asshole pundit Tucker Carlson.
During one segment last night, he pondered Mayor Pete out-Beto-ing Beto O’Rourke closing with the idea that the media is now cheating on Beto, wanting to “consume” Mayor Pete “like a hearty stew – every last drop of Buttigieg.”
#WTF
“Imagine how it must feel to be to be Beto O’Rourke right now. If you’re O’Rourke, you’re out there running for president really hard, or at least running for vice president. You are running anyway. You are giving speech after speech every day: ‘Children are our future. Today the first day of the rest of your life.’ Inspiring stuff like that, deep stuff like that, and there is a physical component to the job, too. You’re riding your skateboard for the camera taking God knows how many selfies for your fans on Snapchat and Instagram.
“It is not an easy gig. Then one morning you wake up and discover that your one true love, the American news media, have called it off. They’ve left you for a younger, hotter candidate. Went out for a pack of cigarettes and just never came home. They split with some guy from Indiana. You cannot even pronounce the guy’s name. Even by the naughty standards of the news media, this is a new level of political commitment. They don’t just want to vote for this guy. They want to consume him, like a hearty stew. Every last drop of Buttigieg. Yum! They’re all in.”

Fox News’ Tucker Carlson did a pre-recorded interview with historian Rutger Bregman regarding taxation and wealth equality, but didn’t like what he was hearing. So he cussed Bregman out, and never aired the interview.
I wonder how many interviews Tucker Carlson and his producers have recorded and jettisoned because they just didn’t like Carlson’s performance?
You can watch Bregman’s side of the chat below since he recorded the interview himself.

During yesterday’s total eclipse, Donald Trump looked at the sun without glasses even as someone shouted: “Don’t look!”
Fox News host Tucker Carlson later said, in all seriousness, “Almost the entire country saw 60 percent of the sun covered up by the moon. Even the president saw it, but in a move that is not a complete surprise, he looked directly at the sun without any glasses. Perhaps the most impressive thing any president has ever done.”

Tucker Carlson – who recently said sex between male students with female teachers would be, in the student’s mind, “the greatest thing that ever happened” – was at it again today with dolling out the double standards.
In a discussion in FOX News’ “Outnumbered” about Queens high school gym teacher Joy Morsi, who is accused of rape by a 16 year old student, Tucker Carlson says it’s “ludicrous” to say the boy was raped.
“It’s ludicrous that we are calling this a rape. Are you serious?” Carson explained.” I’m not joking a tiny bit. I’ll tell you what’s wrong to this extent: he went and tattled to the police and destroyed her life. Are you joking? What a whiny country this is.”
“You’re this boy, and all of a sudden you’re a rape victim? You pursue an older woman, and have a relationship with her, and you’re a rape victim?” he said. “It defies common sense. And anybody who’s being honest with himself knows exactly what I’m talking about. We all have to pretend.”
Carlson concluded by calling the issue a “first world problem,” adding, “this is your problem?”
I’m guessing that what Carlson is calling “pretending” is that all boys think it would be “hot” to have sex with a female teacher?
The ladies on the panel disagreed with Carlson across the board.
Carlson specifically says that if the sexes were reversed in the case it would be completely wrong.
What do you think? If you were a parent and found out your teenage son’s 39 year old teacher was having sex with him, would that be cool?
On the video below, Carlson frames the relationship between teacher and student as one where the student pursued the teacher, but I haven’t found any news reports that substantiate that claim.
