Viral Video: The Aspirations Of 18 Year-Old Ted Cruz

Video has surfaced of an 18 year-old Ted Cruz being asked about his “life’s aspirations.”

From the video:

“Aspirations. That like sweat on my butt? Oh, I see what I want to do in life.

“Well my aspiration is to, uh, oh I don’t know, be in a teen tit film like that guy who played Horatio. You know he was in Malibu Bikini Beach Shop.

“Well, other than that, uh, take over the world, world domination, you know, rule everything. Rich, powerful, that sort of stuff.”

Donald Trump Attack Ad Frames Ted Cruz As Waffling On Immigration

The war of words continues between GOP front-runners Donald Trump and Sen. Ted Cruz as the Iowa caucus’ loom just on the horizon.

Trump has a new ad out attacking Cruz’s position on immigration reform using an appearance on FOX News where Cruz seemed to stutter, unable to fully explain his position.

Of course, it ends with Trump doing a confident and clearly practiced articulation of his anti-immigrant position.

It’s a solid ad, but nothing spectacular. On a scale of one to ten, I’d give it a 7.

The ad is set to run in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina.

Nate Silver’s 538 Website Predicts Wins For Cruz And Clinton In Iowa

Nate Silver, famous for successfully projecting the winner of all 50 states and the District of Columbia in the 2012 presidential election, predicts that Ted Cruz and Hillary Clinton will win their respective caucus’s in Iowa.

From Politico:

Hillary Clinton and Ted Cruz have the greatest chances of winning the Iowa caucuses two weeks from Monday, new polling-based forecasts from FiveThirtyEight show.

Cruz has a 51 percent chance of winning Iowa when national and state polls as well as endorsements are taken into account. In that forecast, Donald Trump trails Cruz with a 29 percent chance of winning Feb. 1.

A look at just state polls shows a much closer race between Trump and Cruz, giving the business magnate a better chance of winning by 2 percentage points, 44 percent to Cruz’s 42 percent.

All around, Hillary Clinton is believed to have an all-but-certain victory over Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders in Iowa.

The polls-plus forecast gives Clinton an 82 percent chance of winning, while Sanders comes in at 18 percent. That margin narrows dramatically with a look at just Iowa polls, with Clinton leading Sanders 66 percent to 34 percent.

SNL Skewers 6th Republican Debate

Complete with Ted Cruz’a knock on “New York values,

Via Salon:

“I think most people know exactly what New York values are,” he began. “And, frankly, they are not the rest of the country’s values. Instead of celebrating Christmas, New Yorkers celebrate a Pagan holiday called Festivus. Instead of watching American football, they challenge each other to masturbation contests. In New York, people don’t say hi to their neighbors, they say, ‘hello, Newman…’”

The moderators were confused saying it sounded an awful lot like he was talking about the TV show Seinfeld. “Believe me, if I could say liberal Jews, I would.”

Donald Trump: Ted Cruz Is A Nasty Guy And NOBODY Likes Him

After yesterday’s Twitter rant attacking Ted Cruz, Donald Trump appeared on ABC News’ This Week armed for bear against Cruz.

And while he was at it, he threw in a couple of comments about same-sex marriage, WHICH The Donald once supported himself, calling Cruz a hypocrite.

Just a sample.

“Look, the truth is, he’s a nasty guy. He was so nice to me. I mean, I knew it. I was watching. I kept saying come on Ted. Let’s go, ok. But he’s a nasty guy. Nobody likes him. Nobody in congress likes him. Nobody likes him anywhere once they get to know him.”

“He’s taking money from people who are very much into the whole gay marriage situation, and he’s taking money from them. He’s raising funds from them. He’s a total hypocrite.”

It was very difficult for George Stephanopoulos to get some straight answers. I’ll give Trump this – he knows how to deflect when he doesn’t want to answer a question.

Donald Trump Attacks Ted Cruz On Twitter

GOP White House hopeful Donald Trump cemented the news that his “bromance” with fellow Republican Ted Cruz is over with a Saturday “Twitter rant” attacking Cruz on everything from the “birther” issue, to the news of unreported campaign loans, to Cruz’s non-apology over his “New York values” comment at the last Republican debate.

Bill Maher On Ted Cruz and “New York Values”

Bill Maher and his guests – Cornel West, Nicolle Wallace and Ralph Reed – discuss Ted Cruz’s comments about “New York values” during the GOP Debate in this clip from January 15, 2016.

Via Raw Story:

“The Republicans who constantly lambaste Obama about dividing America, and then creates smaller and smaller circles about what really is America, “the HBO host said. “Chicago? No that’s thug city. And Hawaii — part of Kenya. And LA is full of q*eers. You know, tell me what New York values are because I don’t know.”

“I was wondering how long after 9/11 before politicians could goad shitkickers into hating New York again,” Maher stated. “And I guess that’s the answer, 15 years, and now you can shit on New York again. Because you certainly couldn’t have said that two years after 9/11.”

Lecturer and activist Cornel West added, “I will admit that Brother Trump, he did tell the truth in terms of there are beautiful people in New York City — so anybody can stumble onto the truth, you know what I mean?”

New York Daily News: “Drop Dead Ted”

Sen. Ted Cruz thought he had found a good attack line against Donald Trump by recently calling out Trump’s “New York values” to crowds in Iowa. Trust and believe, he meant it as a slander.

But when it came up last night at the latest GOP presidential debate, Trump skillfully turned the tables telling Cruz it was very “insulting” to the people of New York who bravely face the events of 9/11.

Cruz: “Everybody understands that the values in New York City are socially liberal and pro-abortion and pro-gay marriage. And focus on money and the media.”

Trump (speaking about 9/11): “Everyone in the world loved New York, and loved New Yorkers; and I have to tell you, that was a very insulting statement.”

The New York Daily News put their thoughts on the cover of today’s paper as you can see above.

Columnist Mike Lupica wrote, “Ted Cruz, who only comes here with his hand out, has decided that the most diverse city the world has ever known is filled with people who all think alike. He sounds in these moments like as slow a thinker as we have ever had run for President.”

“Here is what New York values are: New York values are a young guy, a paralegal, literally giving somebody he doesn’t know the shirt off his back on a subway because winter has finally come to the city and brought freezing temperatures with it. New York values are the New York taxi driver who traveled three boroughs across four days to find the guy who had left $1,400 in his cab, so he could return the money to him. You know what that really was? It was the real life of a city that Ted Cruz knows nothing about. He is simply another tourist here, one constantly on the make.”

DUCK DYNASTY Star Phil Robertson Endorses Ted Cruz For President

Sen. Ted Cruz lays claim to the high honor of being endorsed by the Duck people.

Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson has released a new video wherein he goes duck hunting with Cruz, camouflage, grease paint and all.

You’ll recall Phil Robertson is virulently anti-gay and got in some trouble a while back for sharing those opinions. It eventually brought about the demise of his popular show.

From the Houston Chronicle:

Robertson says in the endorsement video that his qualifications for a president include someone who is godly and who would “kill a duck and put him in a pot and make him a good duck gumbo.” He says Cruz “fits the bill.”

Cruz defended Robertson in 2014 when he got in trouble for declaring that gays are sinners and that African-Americans were happy under Jim Crow laws.

I did think it odd that Robertson kept referring to Cruz as “my man.” What all goes on in those duck blinds?
