Now THIS is how you do a Super Bowl commercial with a puppy.
Budweiser knows what it’s doing. GoDaddy flunked this class.
Uber-cute. Dogs rule.

One Million Moms is already protesting this “extremely inappropriate” commercial from Carls Jr. promoting their new “All-Natural Burger.”
Via email:
Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s, both owned by CKE Restaurants, are at it again by using sex to sell burgers.
Their new ad is extremely inappropriate to air at any time, but especially while families are likely watching. Their “All-Natural” commercial will surely ruin family time once again.
The commercial that will be shown at the Super Bowl features a woman who appears to be naked as she walks through a farmer’s market. This is as close to complete nudity as you can get because she appears to be nude until the end when she is in full view wearing a string bikini top and tiny shorts while eating a hamburger from Carl’s Jr.
TAKE ACTION: Please contact Carl’s Jr. (CKE Restaurants) through our website and ask them to pull their Super Bowl ad immediately! Also encourage them to be more responsible next year if they choose to run ads during the Super Bowl again. If they would like our support, they must no longer air sexually explicit ads.
Trust me – this commercial will NOT ruin any male viewers TV viewing experience. Straight and gay men will love this. Plus, several lesbians I know. So, no worries One Million Moms.
The Backlot reports that Tony Award winner, LGBT favorite and star of Disney’s Frozen, Idina Menzel, will sing the national anthem at this year’s Super Bowl on February 1st.
Between the fabu Menzel plus Katy Perry’s halftime show appearance (and those football uniforms), gays have a lot of good reasons to tune in to the Super Bowl.
Check out Idina singing the Star-Spangled Banner at this year’s Major League Baseball All-Star Game (in what seems like a very high key – go diva!):
Can I get an amen for Atlanta-based NBC 11’s Brenda Wood?
After the “outrage” of some xenophobes who were offended that Coca-Cola would produce a commercial that featured “America the Beautiful” sung in different languages and included (gasp!) a brief glimpse of a gay couple with their daughter, Brenda Woods addresses the issue head on.
Here’s just an excerpt of her “Last Word” on the subject:
“The fact that people are outraged over this ad is outrageous itself. People indignant that others have the audacity to sing “America the Beautiful” in a language other than English, when America was built on opening our arms to the world?
“The quote on the Statue of Liberty doesn’t say “Give me your English-speaking only Christian believing heterosexual masses!” It says “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses, tempest tossed!”
“Have we forgotten that every one of us “Americans,” except for Native Americans, are descendants of foreigners? That the English language is from England?
“What makes America difference from everywhere else is that we are melting pot! We are not homogenous! It is our diversity that built this country! How dare there be indignation over the very thing that makes is great?
“And why not honor the beauty of that in song? What is so sacrosanct about this song that it can’t be sang in other languages? By other ethnicities? By those of diverse religions and other lifestyles? A relevant question, considering that the words of America the Beautiful what penned by a gay woman! Katharine Lee Bates, in 1895, an English professor at Wellesley, who also wrote lovingly about her long time committed relationship to another woman!
“America the Beautiful, by any other language, is still America beautiful!”
I’m liking Ms. Wood. Bravo!
With a multi-lingual version of “America the Beautiful,” Coca-cola tried to quell some of the angst fans are feeling over the soda maker’s support of the upcoming Sochi Olympics while not objecting to violence and anti-gay laws in Russia.
Included in the diversity was a brief moment with a gay couple.
From last night’s Saturday Night Live cold open.
Not all THAT funny, but the entrance of CATS’ “Mr. Mistoffelees” at the end got a chuckle out of me.
Don’t forget, however, that Broadway’s real live Tony Award-winning KINKY BOOTS is performing in the pre-game show. You won’t want to miss that.
Commercials, pre-game show, half-time show, the game itself… And don’t forget the costumes!
Lots to watch at the Super Bowl today!
Imagine – you’re sitting alone in a bar, playing on your smartphone, when a beautiful woman introduces herself and offers you a beer. “If I give you this, are you up for whatever happens next?” she asks.
“Uh, I think so,” Ian responds, unaware of the awesomeness awaiting.
So it begins. Ian finds himself swept up in a series of wild coincidences and celebrity schmoozing including Ian being “styled” with a new jacket by Minka Kelly, an elevator ride with Don Cheadle and a llama, ping pong tournament with Arnold and more.
