Very cool new video from Pink featuring Nate Ruess (lead singer of the band “fun”); plus Pink is joined by her muscle hunk real-life husband Carey Hart.
The song is from the Grammy-nominated “The Truth About Love.”
I predict we’ll be hearing this a lot…
Cute video.
One of the great TV theme songs of all time.

Catch Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta talking about their new holiday CD – THIS CHRISTMAS – on Extra today.
A music video for the new song written by John Farrar “I Think You’ll Like It” is available today on iTunes.
All proceeds from the CD will go to their respective charities: The Jett Travolta Foundation and The Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre.
I’m really in a Christmas music mood today. Finally hit me, I guess.
Who doesn’t love this CD (and TV special)? Released this year, this is a newly remastered version of the music with additional tracks.
Although we have DVDs of those great children’s holiday shows to watch whenever we please now, there was something special in “making sure we didn’t miss Charlie Brown Christmas” or any of the other fab shows way before DVR or DVD. It really made watching an event. I kinda miss that today.
But it does create a cool atmosphere when trimming the tree or having friends over to be able to hear this great music. Maybe this recording is what started my appreciation for jazz? Maybe.
If interested, you can download the newly remastered Charlie Brown Christmas at Amazon.
VELVET GOLDMINE from Greg Sirota on Vimeo
Gay singer-songwriter Matt Alber is back with a new video of a live session featuring Matt and four cellists from San Francisco for his track “Velvet Goldmine” inspired by the Todd Haynes film.
The video, directed by P.R. Brown (who has worked with Alicia Keys and Prince), features cameos of random New Yorkers (including at least one gay man) who Miasha met on the street and recorded dancing with her smartphone.
“People often feel vulnerable when they dance,” said Miasha. “But when people watch other people dance, they feel happy and they see beauty and honesty. I wanted to capture the diversity we have here every day and show how just by watching a stranger lose him or herself in the moment for a few seconds, we can feel that same beauty. We took a boom box to the Lower East Side, and with a tiny camera in hand, went up to 55 total strangers blasting the song, and asked them to ‘break it down.’ Of course, being in NYC, they all said yes!”

Sometimes, we open our minds and find we like something new. We realize that something we THINK we don’t like, we just don’t know yet.
I’m not a big rap music guy. Just haven’t gotten it. But today I saw this and realized “wow – I like THIS rap music.”
Kind of the way some folks think they don’t like the idea of gay people and marriage equality, and then they get to know someone gay and realize “hey – these folk are a lot like me.”
My favorite line from this video – “press Play, not Pause.”
Check out the video. It’s really amazing.
