Kylie “auctioned off” each of the song’s 4,408 notes to eBay-ers who received a Certificate of Ownership for the note and a credit at the end of the video.
TV icon and LGBT advocate George Takei will be honored at the 25th Annual GLAAD Media Awards in New York at the Waldorf Astoria New York on May 3 where he will receive the Vito Russo Award, it was announced today.
Takei will receive GLAAD’s Vito Russo Award, which is presented to an openly lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender media professional who has made a significant difference in promoting equality. Previous Vito Russo honorees include Anderson Cooper, Ricky Martin, Rosie O’Donnell, Alan Cumming, Cynthia Nixon, Nathan Lane, Cherry Jones, Elton John, k.d. lang, and Tom Ford.
Over his career, the actor, advocate, social media star and author has remained one of the most outspoken LGBT voices in Hollywood. Since coming out in 2005, he has spoken out on issues including marriage equality, the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA), so-called “ex-gay therapy” and more. He has worked closely with GLAAD to bring equality to the Boy Scouts and supported GLAAD’s Spirit Day campaign to show support for LGBT youth and end anti-LGBT bullying. To Be Takei, a documentary about Takei’s life and career, premiered at Sundance in January and is scheduled for a theatrical release this summer.
In addition, international superstar Kylie Minogue will perform at the gala.
Minogue has been a longtime supporter of LGBT equality and has included images of LGBT people in her music videos, including for the song “All the Lovers.”
Minogue has performed at LGBT venues across the world, including London’s famed G-A-Y nightclub and New York City’s Splash Bar.
Additionally, Minogue has headlined LGBT pride events like the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras celebration.

Adam had no idea that when he went to the gym, he would not only meet his idol, superstar Kylie Minogue, but she would perform her new hit “Into The Blue” especially for him right there in the gym.
This was all part of Mastercard’s new “#PricelessSurprises” campaign.

Multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning Kylie Minogue will release a brand new album, entitled Kiss Me Once, on March 18th.
This is the Australian pop icon’s first studio album since 2010’s Aphrodite, and her first since signing to Roc Nation Management.
Kiss Me Once represents a return to the dance floor after 2012’s orchestral compilation The Abbey Road Sessions.
“Making this album was quite a journey but I loved it,” Kylie says. “It was through a time in my life where there were a lot of changes and new beginnings. I’m thrilled with the response to ‘Into The Blue,’ and I can’t wait for you hear the rest of the record!”
The first single, “Into The Blue” was released Tuesday, January 28th, and has already been hailed by critics as “the best pop single you’ll hear all year,” as The Huffington Post put it, going on to praise it as “a bona-fide, smack you between the eyes, instant pop classic” that “manages the rare feat of getting better with every listen.”

During her appearance at Australia’s Mardi Gras, Kylie Minogue expressed her opposition to Australia’s ban on same-sex marriage, saying “Of course I believe that it should be legalised. I always say, love is love is love,” according to the Herald-Sun.
In recent months, several major names from the entertainment field have expressed support for marriage equality in Australia including Hugh Jackman and Olivia Newton-John.
