Donald Trump, the oldest person ever sworn in as president, continues to face more and more questions about his health and how his advanced age might be affecting his ability to perform his duties.

A recent impromptu interview with the Wall Street Journal Trump addressed some of those questions and how he perceives his own care. Continue reading “Trump On Falling Asleep At Meetings: “I’m Blinking””

As anyone who goes to see a doctor or has been treated at a medical facility knows, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, or HIPAA, is a federal law that prohibits the disclosure of a patient’s personal health info without obtaining written consent. So, folks are scratching their heads today as reports have surfaced that during Donald Trump’s unscheduled visit to Walter Reed Medical Center last November Trump insisted everyone who treated him to sign a non-disclosure agreement. From NBC News:

President Donald Trump required personnel at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center to sign nondisclosure agreements last year before they could be involved with treating him, according to four people familiar with the process.

During a surprise trip to Walter Reed on Nov. 16, 2019, Trump mandated signed NDAs from both physicians and nonmedical staff, most of whom are active-duty military service members, these people said.

At least two doctors at Walter Reed who refused to sign the NDAs were subsequently not permitted to have any involvement in the president’s care, two of the people said.

The reason for his trip last year remains shrouded in mystery.

What is he hiding?

Restaurant’s License Suspended After Opening For Mother’s Day During COVID-19 Shutdown

From Colorado Community Media:

A Castle Rock restaurant reopened its doors to full dine-in service May 10, allowing dozens of customers inside despite public health orders put in place in March because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

C&C Coffee and Kitchen, a breakfast and Korean kitchen at 4284 Trail Boss Drive, had a line out the door about 10 a.m. Mother’s Day. Families of all sizes filed in past a “bouncer” with a visible sidearm. Every seat was taken as folks dined in. The floor was packed with people standing, waiting for coffee or take-out orders. One person could be seen wearing a mask inside the building.

“I expected it to be busy. I never expected this,” owner April Arellano said. “I’m so happy so many people came out to support the Constitution and stand up for what is right. We did our time. We did our two weeks. We did more than two weeks…and we were failing. We had to do something.”

The Tri-County Health Department says it received four complaints about the reopening. The Denver Post reports the restaurant has now lost its license to operate.

State health officials on Monday suspended the license of a Castle Rock restaurant that opened to large Mother’s Day crowds, a warning to other Colorado eateries that might also consider defying the statewide public health order that limits restaurants to take-out and delivery services.

C&C Coffee and Kitchen presents an “immediate health hazard,” Gov. Jared Polis said at a news conference, and its business license will be suspended until it no longer creates a threat to public health — likely for at least 30 days.

Meme Of The Day: Trump Says He Is “A Young Vibrant Man”

In a reaction to the announcement by former Vice President Joe Biden that he will run for president in 2020, Donald Trump offered a backhanded (and questionable) comment about his own, and Biden’s, current physical conditions.

“Well, I just feel like a young man. I’m so young. I can’t believe it. I’m the youngest person — I am a young vibrant man. I look at Joe, I don’t know about him.”

Trump’s NY Doctor Says Trump Dictated 2015 “Astonishingly Excellent” Health Letter

Dr. Harold Bornstein

As Donald Trump’s personal physician of many years, Dr. Harold Bornstein, told CNN today that Trump personally dictated the 2015 letter that pronounced the future president’s health as “astonishingly excellent.”

“He dictated that whole letter. I didn’t write that letter,” Bornstein told CNN on Tuesday. “I just made it up as I went along.”

The admission is an about face from his answer more than two years when the letter was released and answers one of the lingering questions about the last presidential election. The letter thrust the eccentric Bornstein, with his shoulder-length hair and round eyeglasses, into public view.

“That’s black humor, that letter. That’s my sense of humor,” he said. “It’s like the movie ‘Fargo’: It takes the truth and moves it in a different direction.”

He said Trump read out the language as Bornstein and his wife were driving across Central Park.

“(Trump) dictated the letter and I would tell him what he couldn’t put in there,” he said. “They came to pick up their letter at 4 o’clock or something.”

Just another con job by a con man.

Ohio Dachsund Goes From 56 Pounds To 12 Pounds In Two Years

Dennis the dachsund at 56 pounds

OMG. And Michael likes to tell me our dogs are “fat.”

Two years ago, 26 year-old Brooke Burton of Ohio adopted Dennis the dachshund from her uncle. At the time, Dennis weighed in at a very hefty 56 pounds. According to Buzzfeed, Burton’s uncle was something of a hoarder and had been feeding the pup mostly White Castle burgers and pizza.

“The vet said he would not have made it another month there,” Burton told People Pets, noting that Dennis was very dehydrated and suffering from skin infections.

Dennis started eating dry dog food and going on lots of walks with Burton.

Forty-four pounds later, and look at the handsome guy now!

Buzzfeed reports that Dennis had to undergo three surgeries to remove excess skin due to the weight loss. Apparently, Dennis would trip over the loose skin and it would get infected.

People, it’s commons sense that we have to take care of our furry family members. Food isn’t affection.

We stopped feeding our dogs fatty treats a while back, switching to baby carrots on the advice of our vet. No fat, and healthy. And we saw a drop in weight in our four dogs in a fairly quick time.
