Fox News Host Eric Bolling Suspended Pending Investigation Of Texted X-Rated Pics

UPDATE – The New York Times reports Fox News host Eric Bolling has been suspended while the network investigates the allegations.

What is it about male Fox News folks?

This time the story involves blowhard Eric Bolling who co-hosts the Fox News show “Specialists” and hosts “Cashin’ In.”

Via Huffington Post:

Eric Bolling, a longtime Fox News host, sent an unsolicited photo of male genitalia via text message to at least two colleagues at Fox Business and one colleague at Fox News, a dozen sources told HuffPost.

Recipients of the photo confirmed its contents to HuffPost, which is not revealing their identities. The women, who are Bolling’s current and former Fox colleagues, concluded the message was from him because they recognized his number from previous work-related and informal interactions. The messages were sent several years ago, on separate occasions.

The women did not solicit the messages, which they told colleagues were deeply upsetting and offensive. One of the recipients said that when she replied to Bolling via text, telling him never to send her such photos again, he did not respond. Four people, outside of the recipients, confirmed to HuffPost they’d seen the photo, and eight others said the recipients had spoken to them about it.

Roger Ailes, the founder of Fox News, was ousted last year due to sexual harassment allegations.

Former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly also left the network after several women reported being harassed by the host.

Additionally, Fox Business Network host Charles Payne was suspended in July after reports that he harassed a female political analyst.

Payne remains suspension while an investigation into the allegations continues.

Chelsea Clinton Claps Back After Fox News Host Says Hillary Clinton “Would Literally Sell Her Daughter To Be President”

Former first daughter Chelsea Clinton is not suffering fools lightly these days, and good for her.

Lisa Boothe, a co-host on Fox News’ “The Five,” ripped into former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton this week, saying she was so vile that she’d “sell her only child” to win the White House.

“He literally worked for the most soulless person on this planet who would literally sell her daughter to be president,” said Boothe. “If she could sell her only child to be president. I mean, that’s how much she wants it.”

Chelsea saw the bit on Twitter and was not having it.

“No, she wouldn’t. I’ve never doubted & always known I was the most important part of her life. Now as a mom I’m even more grateful to my mom.” wrote Chelsea.

Chelsea has been speaking out more via her Twitter account lately when public figures take a swipe at  her mother that somehow involve Chelsea.

Go, Chelsea, go!

Late Night with Seth Meyers’ “A Closer Look” segment ticks off pretty much every funny thing to laugh about Donald Trump this week.

From fawning Fox News hosts to that now-infamous “fake news” TIME magazine cover that hangs in about 8 Trump golf clubs, plus Trump butt-boy Sean Hannity making sure the world knows about that secret dossier that “talked about Trump, at a Ritz-Carlton, in Moscow, with two prostitutes urinating on his bed.”

Great work there, Sean.

Fox News Poll: Trump’s Approval Rating Drops To 40%

Now, when you’re a Republican president and your approval numbers drop like this in a Fox News poll, you’re in some kind of trouble.

According to the latest Fox News poll:

• President Trump’s approval numbers are down to 40% from 45% last month in the same poll.

• Disapproval rating rose 5 points to 53%.

• Trump shows erosion of support among whites without a college degree, falling 9 points from last month to 53% this month.

• Independent voters’ approval fell 8 points from last month to 34% this month.

• Back in December only 32% of respondents believed Russia’s influence aided Trump in the presidential election. Now, that number has grown to 44%.

Fox News: White House Playing A Very Dangerous Game With The Currency Of The Credibility Of The President

I was amazed this actually aired on Fox News.

Anchor Chris Wallace calmly dissects the ricochet rhetoric that has been flying around the White House this week.

Here’s just a bit of Wallace’s comments:

“When I heard that exchange today between Jeff Mason, White House reporter, and Sean Spicer speaking from the podium in the briefing room for the President of the United States, it took my breath away. That was what in Watergate they called a non-denial denial. He was asked specifically, ‘Is there a recording device in the Oval Office of the President of the United States?’ He said, ‘I have nothing for you on that.’ He could have said no. He could have said yes.

“He said, ‘I have nothing for you on that.’ That is a non-denial denial. Look, it may just be that the President is trolling the press corps and saying, ‘Work yourself into a frenzy about this,’ and turns out it’s nothing. But why would he do that? Why would he want to decrease the credibility, which is already in question, of this White House and comments made from that podium? It seems to me that you’re playing a very dangerous game with the currency of the credibility of the President of the United States.”

Now, when even FOX NEWS is calling out the crazy, you know we’ve reached a serious level of lunacy.

Could Sean Hannity Be The Next High Profile Fox News Host To Leave?

Could Sean Hannity be the next to exit Fox News?

In the aftermath of the resignation of Fox News co-president Bill Shine officially on Monday, the media is getting hints Hannity could get out.

From The Daily Beast:

Shine was Hannity’s long-time ally whom he personally recommended the network hire two decades ago to produce Hannity & Colmes. In recent days, Hannity warned it would be the “total end” of Fox News should Shine leave, and he rallied conservative activists to back him up.

Initially, insiders said, Hannity’s army of lawyers had hoped to discuss with Fox ways of protecting his 8-year-old primetime show, amid fears that Lachlan and James Murdoch—fresh off the ousting of Bill O’Reilly—were looking to push the network away from hard-right politics.

However, with Shine’s departure on Monday, one source told The Daily Beast, there’s no reason for Hannity to stay.

“The network now belongs to the Murdoch sons,” another Fox insider said after learning that Shine was gone.

One insider speculates that the negotiations could end this week and Hannity might be out by Friday. Another said his final show could even be tonight or Tuesday evening, given Shine’s Monday resignation.

Fox News, however, said in a statement speaking on behalf of Hannity and the network: “This is completely untrue.”

There are rumors that Hannity has a “key man clause” in his Fox News contract that allows him to leave the conservative network at any time.

Should he leave, Hannity would be following several high profile hosts at Fox News including Bill O’Reilly and Megyn Kelly.

NY Magazine: Fox News To Drop Bill O’Reilly Over Sexual Harassment Allegations & Lawsuits


 New York Magazine is reporting this morning that Fox News has decided to cut ties with beleaguered host Bill O’Reilly in light of the many allegations of sexual misconduct leveled at him.

The Murdochs have decided Bill O’Reilly’s 21-year run at Fox News will come to an end. According to sources briefed on the discussions, network executives are preparing to announce O’Reilly’s departure before he returns from an Italian vacation on April 24. Now the big questions are how the exit will look and who will replace him.

Wednesday morning, according to sources, executives are holding emergency meetings to discuss how they can sever the relationship with the country’s highest-rated cable-news host without causing collateral damage to the network. The board of Fox News’ parent company 21st Century Fox is scheduled to meet on Thursday to discuss the matter.

Inside sources say Rupert Murdoch was leaning to keeping O’Reilly as recently as last week, but his two sons have apparently lobbied hard to drop the conservative TV host as news spread that O’Reilly had paid out more than $13 million to end sexual harassment lawsuits.

According to the above article, the powers that be may not give the 21-year Fox News veteran a sign-off show.

Wild And Wilder: White House Alleges UK Spied On Trump For Obama, UK Slaps Back

Donald Trump’s allegation that President Obama ordered “surveillance” on Trump during the presidential campaign continues to get even more unbelievable.

On Thursday, during a White House press briefing, spokesman Sean Spicer cited comments by Fox News contributor Andrew Napolitano asserting a British spy agency was involved in the alleged surveillance of Donald Trump during the presidential campaign.

Napolitano had stated on-air that President Obama had asked Britain’s Government Communications Headquarters, the intelligence collection agency known as the GCHQ, to surveil Mr. Trump.

Said Sean Spicer:

“Three intelligence sources have informed Fox News that President Obama went outside the chain of command. He didn’t use the N.S.A., he didn’t use the C.I.A., he didn’t use the F.B.I., and he didn’t use the Department of Justice. He used GCHQ. What is that? It’s the initials for the British intelligence spying agency. So simply, by having two people saying to them, ‘The president needs transcripts of conversations involved in candidate Trump’s conversations involving President-elect Trump,’ he was able to get it and there’s no American fingerprints on this.”

The British government immediately denied the allegation on Thursday in a statement issued by the spy agency, labeling the assertions “nonsense” and “utterly ridiculous.”

Today, President Trump was asked about the kerfuffle at a press event with German Chancellor Angela Merkel by a German reporter. Trump answered, “We said nothing. All we did was quote a certain very talented legal mind who was the one responsible for saying that on television. I didn’t make an opinion on it. You shouldn’t be talking to me. You should be talking to Fox.”

Shortly after Trump’s comments, Fox News’ Shepard Smith issued this strongly worded statement from his network: “Fox News cannot confirm Judge Napolitano’s commentary. Fox News knows of no evidence of any kind that the now president of the United States was surveilled at any time in any way, full stop.”

CNN’s Jake Tapper has clearly had just about all the BS he can handle from Trump. Tapper opened his show on CNN thusly:

“In a fevered effort to try to force this outlandish claim into something remotely resembling – passably, perhaps, maybe – the truth, the White House appears actually willing to repeat another wild accusation that potentially could alienate our nation’s most important ally.

“Does smearing British intelligence make your family more safe? No? So why is the White House doing it? What is the White House defending here? Because it damn sure isn’t national security or American credibility before the world.”

How does any of this “make America great again?”
