This Is A Real Thing

JoeMyGod points up this very “personal” gym for “personal” fitness.

The Complete Training Program starts with four weeks of Basic Training, which guides the user through a series of pelvic muscle exercises specifically designed to create initial pelvic muscle strength.

Once Basic Training is complete, the program incorporates an additional four weeks of resistance training and the Private Gym’s patented, FDA registered weighted penis ring and magnetic weight. The weighted ring is placed comfortably around the erect penis and lifted up and down, thereby placing just the right amount of resistance to maximize pelvic muscle growth and strength.

The press materials say “Private Gym promises to boost a man’s sexual performance as well as help prevent the onset of erectile dysfunction. The rationale behind Private Gym is simple and well established: work out a muscle and it gets stronger. These are the same well-known exercises performed by millions of women to increase pelvic tone, particularly after childbirth.”

According to Dr. Grace Dorey – “As good as Viagra, without the costs and side effects.”

Joe Manganiello has a new fitness book released today aptly titled Evolution.

In the book, the 6-foot-5, 230-pound beefcake shares many of the secrets and tips that helped him transform his body.  The book covers issues ranging from not only exercise workouts but pusing past mental blocks.  From New York Daily News:

Here’s how Manganiello went from scrawn to brawn:

1. Challenge the impossible. “I’m not asking people to work as hard as they can. I’m asking you to go beyond what you thought was possible for yourself. That’s how you get in the best shape you’ve ever been, instead of just okay shape.”

2/ Double your muscle groups for twice the results. Work chest and back on Monday, legs and triceps on Tuesday and shoulders and back on Wednesday. Then restart the cycle after a rest on Sunday.

3. Eat high-protein, low-fat meals every few hours. “You’re training your body not to store anything, and that in conjunction with a fat-burning cardio program raises metabolism.”

4. You get what you give.
“I can’t think of anything else in life that gives you back a direct return the way training does. Focus on each breath, each rep, and you will see results.”

Joe Manganiello stops by HuffPost Live to talk on his new book Evolution that chronicles his journey to his current physical fitness and shares some of his workout insights to overcome mental blocks to our goals.

Speaking on the obstacles that inspired his transformation Joe says:

“There was a period of about four years where I needed to quit drinking. And the drinking got in the way [of my career],” he told host Alyona Minkovski. “And I talk about that a lot in the book. It was one of those obstacles that I had to get over and once again I needed to clear the road in order for these things to happen, so it really is an inside job. I had to clean up my act and figure that whole situation out.”
