Talking Cancer & Fitness With Dr. Phil’s Fitness/Nutrition Expert Robert Reames

Fitness & nutrition expert Robert Reames
I recently did an episode of the American LBS radio/video podcast with Dr. Phil Show head trainer and nutritionist, Robert Reames. The podcast highlights inspirational and motivational stories involving wellness sharing information from some of the best fitness folks in the industry. I’ve known Rob (an awesome source of great fitness info) since the 1990s. He asked me to chat about my cancer journey back in 2009 and how fitness & my dance background played a part in my recovery. While I’ve mentioned my bout with cancer on The Randy Report, this is probably the first time many of you might hear first hand what my little journey was like. Hit play below, and you can find out more info from and about super-smart guy Rob at his official website here.

Watching Chris Hemsworth’s Shirtless Workout Made Me Sweat

If you thought ‘Thor’ could hurl a hammer, check out shirtless Avengers star Chris Hemsworth sling some weights around in a grassy field. Now, to be fair, there’s a very good reason why Hemsworth is shirtless. You see, it spontaneously burst into flames. “It was so hot my shirt literally burst into flames,” wrote Hemsworth. “Luckily I was wearing my favourite pair of fire retardant shorts.” “Give this circuit a go 6 times through Centrfit,” he added referencing his fitness app which boasts training programs and tips from Hemsworth’s own fitness team. The circuit consists of bent-over rows, a farmer’s carry, bicep curls combined with overhead press, and topped off with a sprint. Do that six times and we’re pretty sure we’d burst into flames as well.

The post has been liked over 3.2 million times at this writing. The 36-year-old actor is known for sharing his circuit workouts via Instagram. Last month, Hemsworth shared this challenging bit of gym time wrestling some iron with trainers Luke Zocchi and Jorge Blanco. Now, when the god of thunder is out of breath, you know it’s intense.

We may (or may not) have seen the final Avengers movie with Avengers: Endgame, but Hemsworth will return as the thunder god in Thor: Love and Thunder in 2021. One thing is for sure: Hemsie is definitely going to be in tip-top, god-like shape. Here’s one more workout from our hero – this one is called the Devil’s Workout. I’d get sweaty with these guys, how about you?

The Kilted Coaches: “Let It Grow”

The Kilted Coaches (Stephen and Rab)

Who wants to see hunky, furry, shirtless Scots in kilts encouraging you to feel the burn?

Ooh, ooh – me! Me!

It seems it’s been a while since I checked in on YouTube fitness experts, the Kilted Coaches.

So I decided to find out what personal trainers Stephen and Rab have been up to lately.

In one of the Kilted Coaches’ recent workout videos, they offer their tips on how to lose fat quickly.

Coming off of end-of-summer vacations and especially this past three-day Labor Day weekend, this seems like a good time for fat burning.

And hey – if they guys from Perth, Scotland, want to take off their shirts and give us a peek at their manly muscles, then, who are we to complain?

Another recent video addressed the issues of over-training and giving your body time to “let it grow.”

The guys even parody that famous song from Frozen, “Let It Go,” as they share their furry goodness on muscle growth.

Britney Spears’ Woofy Boyfriend Shares How He Lost 100 Pounds

Fitness model Sam Asghari (image via Instagram)

Sam Asghari, Britney Spears’ main squeeze, recently revealed that he wasn’t always the woofy, muscle hound he is today. He also shared how he was able to lose 100 pounds in becoming the fit beast he’s become.

In a recent profile in Men’s Health, the 24-year-old said he began to gain weight after being cut from his college football team. He eventually tipped the scales at an eye-popping 290 pounds.

“I was eating Doritos for breakfast, fast food, sugar, candy, no protein, a lot of carbs, and drinking sugary sodas,”Asghari shared. “My nutrition was extremely horrible. The stress and the fear of not going anywhere [in life] combined gave me my depression.”

After six months of seriously bad nutrition and not working out, Asghari committed to making changes in his life.

“I could either continue going through the same thing or I could give it another 100 percent,” he said. “I didn’t want to have to deal with that depression and disappointment anymore. I had to restart.”

Working three jobs was proving to be a deterrent to better health and fitness as well. Asghari quit two jobs and made fitness his primary job.

Along the way, he did swing a bit past center in the obsessive department: measuring his body fat percentage daily and limiting his calorie intake to 1,500.

In only six months, he was 100 pounds lighter, and had reached a stunning 9% body fat.

With all the changes in his health and appearance came high-profile gigs with A-list artists including his appearance in the Fifth Harmony video, “Work.”

Shortly thereafter he was cast in Britney’s “Slumber Party” video.

Hello + chemistry = couple-hood.

Now, Asghari shares his fitness regime with Brit via Instagram.

“The exercises, I come up with them, but the videos are because of my better half. She’s the video director,” he said. “It’s a very fun thing, and I look back at them and smile. Working out together is always nice and we try to do it a couple times. It’s super healthy, mentally and physically. It takes your mind off of everything else.”

Girther Movement: Raised Eye-Brows At Donald Trump’s Ht/Wt Stats After Physical

Donald Trump recently underwent his first full physical since arriving at the White House.

And according to Dr. Ronny L. Jackson, a rear admiral in the Navy and the White House physician, Trump is in “excellent” health.

But eyebrows were raised when Jackson released his report saying the Trumpster, who is 6’3″ tall, clocks in at 239 pounds.

From The New York Times:

Overall, Dr. Jackson said, Mr. Trump’s health was “excellent,” with mostly normal results on a battery of tests and examinations. He said Mr. Trump, 71, has remarkably good cardiac health, probably because he does not smoke or drink alcohol.

But he did say that Mr. Trump’s weight is 239 pounds and that he is too sedentary. His cholesterol is too high, despite medicine to lower it, and Dr. Jackson said Mr. Trump would be increasing the 10-milligram dosage of Crestor to better control it.

At 6 feet 3 inches tall, Mr. Trump has a body mass index of 29.9, which is just shy of officially being obese.

Folks were not buying that the Donald’s impressive girth would yield a weight of only 239 lbs.

I personally couldn’t care less what he weighs, but it is just one more lie generated by Trump’s fragile ego to throw on the pile.

Guardians of the Galaxy writer-director James Gunn is offering $100K if Trump will stand on an accurate scale with an inpartial medical professional:

Dr. Jackson also announced he performed a cognitive test on Trump at Trump’s request. Jackson said Trump received a perfect score on the test.

Via to Matt Rettenmund of Boy Culture, below is the cognitive test Trump apparently aced.

Nick Sandell – Agent P5

Because I’ve developed this internet obsession-ish thing about fitness model Nick Sandell, I have to post this.

From Ali Evans Photography:

For Agent P5, failure is not an option. The survival of our government depends on the success of his training in New York City.

No, I don’t understand what it means at all.

But, that’s not really the point, is it?

And just a reminder – you can follow Nick on Instagram here.

Video: Pietro Boselli’s Workout Philosophy Will Give You “Vigour”

“Worlds Sexiest Math Teacher” Pietro Boselli took time for a little “late autumnal vigour” with his bro.

I don’t know about you, but I’m definitely getting “vigour” from Pietro’s compression pants and abs.

Happy Monday!

Obviously, the world has taken notice of Pietro’s awesome abs and body. So, he’s launched his own YouTube video series where he shares his workout philosophy and how it fits into his fitness lifestyle.

Here’s the first in a series of four videos.

Happy Hump Day – Nick Sandell

Dang.

Not only is fitness model Nick Sandell good looking, but look at that body – shoulders, pecs, arms, legs for days.

And not to get too technical, but he’s so evenly developed all over. It’s clear he’s not one of those guys who just looks at how big their arms get.

Check out his walk in the park in his boxer briefs during a recent photo shoot with photographer Michael Hallenbeck below.

Double-dang.
