UK Citizens Petitions Parliament To Bar Donald Trump From Country

Over 200,000 UK citizens have petitioned Parliament asking MPs to debate barring Republican White House hopeful Donald Trump from entering their country over his proposed policy of barring Muslims from the United States:

A petition calling for Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump to be barred from entering UK has gathered more than 200,000 names, so MPs will have to consider debating the issue.

The petition went on Parliament’s e-petition website on Tuesday. It was posted in response to Mr Trump’s call for a temporary halt on Muslims entering the United States.

Chancellor George Osborne criticised Mr Trump’s comments but rejected calls for him to be banned from the UK. Any petition with more than 100,000 signatures is automatically considered for debate in Parliament.

But remember – if he’s elected president (oh my sides…) we’ll be “respected” around the world.

Riiiiiight.

White House: Donald Trump’s Toxic Rhetoric Is Disqualifying

From Bloomberg Business:

White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest addressed Donald Trump’s proposal on temporarily banning Muslims from entering the U.S. at a news conference on Tuesday.

He said Trump’s rhetoric is toxic and offensive, calling out Republican presidential candidates for not condemning the billionaire.

“What he said is disqualifying and any Republican who’s too fearful of the Republican base to admit it has no business serving as president either,” the press secretary said.

#TrumpIsDisqualifiedParty Trends World-Wide

Just a few of the Twitterverse’s best using the hashtag #TrumpIsDisqualifiedParty after White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said today that Donald J. Trump has disqualified himself from being president after Trump’s suggestion we should ban all Muslims from entering the USA.

Speaker Of The House Paul Ryan Forcefully Denounces Donald Trump’s Proposed Ban On Muslims

In no uncertain terms, Republican Speaker of the House Paul Ryan denounced GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump for his hateful, divisive call to stop all entry in the U.S. by all Muslims.

Ryan correctly noted that there are many Muslim Americans in not only our military but serving in Congress.

“The vast, vast, vast majority (of Muslims) are peaceful.”

Unhinged Donald Trump Rants On CNN Regarding Banning All Muslims From Entering America

After yesterday’s announcement by Donald Trump that he intends to halt all Muslims from entering the United States, the Trumpster is making the rounds via phone today defending what would be his controversial (and divisive) approach to handling world affairs.

Calling into CNN’s “New Day,” Trump got into a heated exchange with host Chris Cuomo.

Via Mediaite:

Cuomo opened up the interview by noting how Trump’s idea is the latest in a series of positions leading to serious division and condemnation on both sides of the political spectrum. To this, Trump claimed the attacks in San Bernardino and Paris are proof that Muslims are trying to infiltrate and destroy America, and that “we have no choice but to do exactly what I said until our country’s representatives can figure out what the hell is going on.”

Cuomo reiterated that the idea of rejecting an entire religion is the antithesis of American values and freedoms, and pushed back saying “you’re acting out of fear, not making us look strong, and rejecting what America is all about.”

Later in the segment, Trump made a claim about intelligence reports to which Cuomo replied, “Our security network is the best in the world. If you ask people who are in the business of keeping us safe, they think the idea of banning Muslims does nothing to help and everything to hurt. They’re the experts, that’s what they say. They think the idea is stupid.”

I should point out that EVERY Republican White House hopeful denounced the idea of slamming the door on all Muslims yesterday. And intelligence/security experts all day long agreed the policy would hurt the United States, not help it.

Cuomo rocked this.

New Poll: Hillary Clinton Leads GOP Front-Runner Donald Trump By 11 Points

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton

It’s interesting how things play out in the media versus ongoing polling for the upcoming presidential season.

For instance, if you watch the news just about anywhere, all you see is GOP hopeful Donald Trump. He’s big. He must be the biggest! So, he’s going to win it all, right?

Not exactly.

According to the latest MSNBC/Telemundo/Marist poll, Democratic front runner Hillary Clinton beats every Republican contender in the hunt.

From NBC News:

Clinton’s biggest lead is against current GOP frontrunner Donald Trump: She’s ahead of him by 11 points among all voters, 52 percent to 41 percent, and a whopping 42 points among Latino voters, 69 percent to 27 percent.

The former Democratic secretary of state leads Ted Cruz by seven points nationally, 51 percent to 44 percent, and by 27 points among Latinos, 61 percent to 34 percent.

Clinton holds a four-point advantage over Jeb Bush, 49 percent to 45 percent, and a 26-point lead among Latinos, 61 percent to 35 percent.

She’s ahead of Marco Rubio by three points among all voters, 48 percent to 45 percent, and 19 points among Latinos, 57 percent to 38 percent.

And Clinton leads Ben Carson by just one point, 48 percent to 47 percent, and she holds a 26-point edge among Latinos, 61 percent to 35 percent.

Bolding is mine.

Note the huge margin among Latinos, the fastest growing minority in the U.S. Tells you a LOT right there.

Donald Trump Calls For “Total And Complete Shutdown Of Muslims Entering The U.S.”

Donald Trump’s campaign issued a statement today calling for complete halt to all Muslims attempting to enter the U.S.

Donald J. Trump is calling for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country’s representatives can figure out what is going on. According to Pew Research, among others, there is great hatred towards Americans by large segments of the Muslim population.

Most recently, a poll from the Center for Security Policy released data showing “25% of those polled agreed that violence against Americans here in the United States is justified as a part of the global jihad” and 51% of those polled, “agreed that Muslims in America should have the choice of being governed according to Shariah.” Shariah authorizes such atrocities as murder against non-believers who won’t convert, beheadings and more unthinkable acts that pose great harm to Americans, especially women.

Mr. Trump stated, “Without looking at the various polling data, it is obvious to anybody the hatred is beyond comprehension. Where this hatred comes from and why we will have to determine. Until we are able to determine and understand this problem and the dangerous threat it poses, our country cannot be the victims of horrendous attacks by people that believe only in Jihad, and have no sense of reason or respect for human life. If I win the election for President, we are going to Make America Great Again.” – Donald J. Trump

Just so we’re clear: a ban on Muslim immigrants proposed by the frontrunner of the party that claims to stand for religious freedom?

You can’t make this stuff up, kids.

UPDATE: Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton called the proposed policy from Trump “reprehensible.”

Donald Trump’s “Great Memory” Can’t Remember Famous Muslim Athletes

Although Donald Trump says his memory is “one of the all-time great memories,” he tweeted that he didn’t know of any Muslim sports heroes.

I’m guessing that memory isn’t all that since he’s met Muhammad Ali many times.

Oh, and then there’s Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Shaquille O’Neal… That’s just off the top of my head, and I’m not even a sports guy.

#Idiot

New Poll: Donald Trump Leads Competitors By 20 Points

A new CNN/ORC poll shows White House hopeful Donald Trump way ahead of his fellow GOP competitors.

The Donald looks to have his biggest lead yet in the race for Republican nominee for 2016:

Donald Trump: 36%
Sen. Ted Cruz: 16%
Ben Carson: 14%
Sen. Marco Rubio: 12%

It’s interesting to note a friend from Texas, who is a Republican, wondered my direction why folks are paying so much attention to Trump. My friend said, “He’s a clown.  He’ll never be the nominee.”

Well…?

Wait for Trump to go after Ted Cruz in 3, 2, 1…
